I read the other reviews and I figured that maybe other people were just unfamiliar with lock-sets, but it turns out they were right. These are horrible cheap pieces of junk. The metal is so thin on the mounting plates, and they are engineered so poorly that when you tighten them down the plate warps so the handle no longer turns and returns freely. You can see in the pictures how it's warped near the screw holes. I've installed lots of lock-sets and I've never seen any that didn't have some kind of reinforcement or dimpling around the screw holes to prevent this.Perhaps if you have very thin doors then it will mate up to the other side and not warp, but anyone who has an insulated exterior door will have this problem or they'll have a loose knob. Don't waste your money on this.

They function perfectly except one detail which is driving my fiancee and I nuts. The inner door lock orientation is backwards. Horizontal ( - ) means locked, vertical ( | ) means unlocked. The plastic within the little knob needs to be turned 90 degrees to conform to pretty much any other standard USA door lock. The inner plastic piece should be opposite direction that the outer knob shows and there is no way to go in and change it since the pieces are pretty much stamped shut. Also this kit gave 24 matching keys, a bit excessive, that's a good problem to have I suppose.

Installing the door handle was simple and straight forward. I struggled getting the deadbolts in. You have to make sure everything is lined up and in the correct position to install them. Otherwise, they wont turn all the way and/or you cant get the key out. I even broke a key off in the lock trying to force it. Luckily was able to get out with a pair of needle nose pliers. With that being said, once I had it correctly set and tightened, the locks work great and look great. Very good value. Just don't be impatient like me when installing!

Needed to replace all the outside knobs and deadbolts on the house for security reasons. These all installed reasonably easily with no fitting needed, are nice looking and seem to be more than sturdy enough. The description says they only come with a few keys but in reality they come with about 4 keys per set, so LOTS of keys even though one key will open all six knobs and deadbolts.Tip: I needed three sets and bought three sets HOWEVER I wish I had ordered an extra set so that even if I someday have to replace one, it will still take the same key as all the others. The knobs I was replacing each had thier own different key, pain in the butt to deal with.Would buy again!

I bought this set because we moved into a new house that has a bunch of exterior doors. I replaced every door knob using this kit. I'm very happy with it. This kit is as cheap as store bought kits, but it feels more sturdier. It looks good. I like it.

When I had to change the lock on the garage door, I figured I might as well change all the locks so that I’d need just one key. These were more difficult to install than the locks I’d installed at the old house, but once installed, they seem to work well. I now have a lot of spare keys, but having too many beats having too few.

I bought these to use as temporary door knobs during construction on our home. They work great for the price. Contractors have gotten Sheetrock mud on them, scratched them, hit them, anything you can think of and they’re doing fine. They’re not very pretty but that wasn’t necessary for us because they’ll come out as soon as construction is complete.

The built in plates make it almost impossible unless it's for one specific door. Also, easy to scratch and cheap.
