Excellent for homeschoolers, teach your children and teach children in your co-op or cottage school.
Simple, easy to understand, so much useful information about real food. The recipes are delicious and I love the illustrations. Every homeschooling mama needs this book to teach her kids to cook real food. Government school and private school mamas need this book to teach their kids how to cook real food. Grandmothers need this book to teach their grandchildren how to cook real food. Aunts need this cookbook to teach their nieces and nephews how to cook real food. I will be giving this book as a baby shower gift from now on.

This book is amazing!
I had it preordered, and it finally came yesterday. I've been cooking the Nourishing Traditions way for a few years now. ( In my opinion, it's the only way of eating that makes sense.) As a mom of 5 young children, I've found it a little hard to explain to them why we cook the way we do. This book says it in an easy to understand way for children. And the recipes! We have other children's recipe books, my girls beg to cook out of, as they like the pictures in them, and everything looks so yummy. I'm always hesitant, because I don't want them eating that "garbage", and don't want them learning to cook that way. So I will say it again, this book is amazing! It has lots of pictures of healthy, delicious looking, food. I also really like the pictures in the ingredient list. It helps for the children to have a pictorial overview of everything they're going to be needing for the recipe. I also like how it encourages eating seasonally. So it's great, and I'm very happy with my purchase. Little expensive, but very worth it. Just wanted to add, when my mom in law saw this book at my house, she liked it so much that she went home and ordered one for her and my sister in law.

Amazing Information for Health!
I've been looking at this cookbook for a while, as I love the Wise Traditions Podcast put on by the Weston A. Price Foundation. I was not disappointed! This is not only full of recipes, but it also contains valuable nuggets of wisdom from years gone by.

Perfect book for your kids to learn!
This book was written to be read by a child, not necessarily for a parent to read and then make the food for their child. It’s very educational and would be great for homeschool children who are interested in cooking and nutrition.

What a fabulous book!
My book just arrived and it's better than I imagined! I'm a big fan of Nourishing Traditions, but know it can be overwhelming to those who are younger or first starting out on the journey of real foods. I love the recipes and tips in this book but also The Nourishing Traditions Cookbook for Children is beautiful. It's filled with colored illustrations showing not only the end product, but the ingredients and tools needed for each recipe which makes it perfect for young readers, those who are visual, and those new to this type of information. Each section (Kitchen Tools, Measuring Guide, Incredible Eggs, Mighty Milk, Butter is Better, Super Snacks, Vibrant Vegetables, The Secret's in the Soup, Friendly Ferments, Soak, Sour and Sprout!, Meet your Meat, My Healthy Lunch, What's for Dessert?) explains information, that sadly many adults no longer know, in a clear and concise way and focuses on the why and how and in some cases a bit of history. This book belongs in every school and public library as well as every home that is interested in feeding their children and families with real food.

Fantastic for children or anyone starting out with Nourishing Traditions
Oh, y'all, I'm so excited about this book! I purchased "Nourishing Traditions" several years ago and our family has been slowly adopting many of the recommendations. The children's cookbook does a couple things - 1) it's a less overwhelming introduction to the NT strategy and 2) gets my kids, who like to cook, on board. They often try to find recipes that work, but this makes it much easier. We all know that at some point our kids will listen to others over their parents, so it's great to have a resource other than me talking about the benefits of raw, grassfed milk and bone broth, for example. The book illustrations and instructions appealed to both my 10 and 6 year old daughters, though my 10-year old did pinpoint a couple things that were "too babyish", but most of the content was up to her high standards. I liked that there were illustrations for both the recipe list and the finished product. Illustrations seem a lot more attainable than the highly staged photographs in so many other cookbooks.

This book is a treat!
This is a magnificent book - a cookbook that any novice to cooking would appreciate. It has a great variety of delicious recipes in a spiral-bound, counter-space saving format. The book delivers its advertised content and then some. In addition, it is superbly written, artfully designed and fabulously illustrated. The authors have struck a wonderful balance of cooking instructions and explaining how to maintain good health. Our 8 and 16 years old are also very much into art, and they love the many beautiful and 'tasteful' (pun intended) illustrations! They are a real treat in and of themselves.I highly recommend this book. My family loves it and we plan to gift it to friends and family. It is easy to see that a lot of thought and work went into this book and I am gratified that it is currently the # 1 Bestseller of Children's Cookbooks on Amazon.

Back to basics book
Nice cooking book for kids. It explains each food group and starts with eggs. Every recipe has all ingredients and utensils in pictures so it easy to follow for small kids when they want to be helpers. Older kids would be able to prepare full dinner meal. It even introduces pickled food. Also sweet recipes are at the end which in my mind shows that they are the least important. Sweeteners are honey and maple syrup. It also explains about blood sugar roller coaster. It is not strictly low carb recipe book, but IMHO still very healthy. The only minus is being bind by cheap plastic binder, on the other hand it keeps the book fully opened, which makes it easier for kids.

Absolutely amazing
This book is a must have if you want to teach your young ones how to prepare their own food from scratch. My 7 year old loves it and is so proud to be making his own scrambled eggs. Even though he can't read English, with a little help from me he can do everything on his own. Beautifully illustrated too!
