I love having a kitchen tool that can do double (or triple) duty as this one does. It works as a stirrer and a scraper, being flexible enough to get into tight corners, and yet is sturdy enough to stir relatively thick sauces and lighter batters, and you can serve with it too! It fell only slightly short for me at scraping can corners as well as my trusty small spatula, but beyond that small shortfall, I'm very happy with it's performance. It is a handy length and size for me, feels good in my hand, and is a pretty too!.I see myself grabbing it most often for stirring soups and sauces while they cook, scraping the bottom of the pan with the straight edge of the spoon. Whisks often allow things to catch and wooden spoons do as well, besides requiring hand washing. You can pop this in the dishwasher if you can manage without it for that long. You may want to order two!I love the red color as it hasn't shown any stains, is bright and fun to use, and is pretty enough to serve with. I'm happy I found this new spoonula and look forward to many years of cooking with it. I feel that it's reasonably priced for the quality too. I will definitely look at more of the StarPack line when I need any more kitchen tools.1-17-16- I've used this for a few months now and really do love it! I grab it frequently for an array of uses including stirring or scraping and wish I had more than one. It washes very easily though, so it's ready quickly for another use. So far, no cracks or signs of problems.5-13-16- Ordered another to have on hand. Made well, shipped fast, one of my favorite kitchen tools!4-21-20- Time flies and I'm considering purchasing another of these as I've given them to my family for gifts through the years. I still have my original that I use a lot and it looks like new. I'm surprised at the negative comments, as I've seen no flaking, melting, or burning edge on my piece. I have to wonder if they may have gotten a fake from some vendor.I've bought some of the other pieces in the StarPack line but this is my all time favorite.

Several months ago, I bought all of the StarPack products. Very glad to see they are now offering individual items. When I get cooking, I go through a lot of utensils!If I were suddenly transported to the set of "Cut Throat Kitchen" and had a sabotage of having only one utensil to use, this spoonula would be my pick. It is extremely versatile - it can act as a spoon, a mixer, a scraper, a smacker and even a "breaker upper". I have used this item to deglaze pans and get the last bit of browned goodness into sauces - does an outstanding job without scratching the pans. Even the most stubborn bits of food have come up.Like all of the other StarPack silicone utensils, this one is well made, hefty, one piece and well balanced. The flat tip makes scraping the bottom of a pan easy, the curved sides easily get the side of the pot and the slight "cup" allows you to lift food items. I use this tool frequently - it's great for flipping and stirring ground beef, stew beef, onions, etc while browning .Not that most people would ever need it for such, but it even works great to give a quick smack to furry four legged friends. A few weeks ago, I was lifting a VERY hot quarter pan out of the oven which had roasted veggies on it. Somehow or another, I got my hand on the hot metal. I dropped the pan, spilling smoking hot veggies all over the floor. My first instinct was to get that pan off the floor before it melted the vinyl - but while I was struggling with that, 4 dogs who live by the rule "if it hits the floor it's ours" came running. The last thing I needed was 4 burned tiny tongues - and the only weapon at hand was this spoonula. I quickly smacked all 4 dogs on the nose whilst yelling NO. Meantime, hubby ran for the dust pan while I kept the dogs at bay. This spoonula gave them pause about continuing to try to get the veggies while I got them off the floor and into the dustpan before anyone got hurt.To digress a bit - did you know that salt will stop a burn in it's tracks? My brother had told me that awhile back. The pain was intense and my fingers were starting to blister, so I tried it. Wet the area and poured kosher salt on the fingers, left the salt on for about 5 minutes. The salt INSTANTLY stopped the pain and even the blisters that had started to form disappeared.All's well that ends well! This is a great tool - glad it's now available separately as I wanted to have two but didn't want to buy another set just to get one or two items.

I have been using the StarPack Spatulas for many years. They are by far the best silicone spatulas I have ever used (and I have tried many!). I use them in very hot temperatures, and they remain as good as new! They are high quality, perfect for stirring. I very much like these spatulas!

I have a flat one, but I use this one ALL the time. You can get into the corners, scape up stuff on the bottom of the pan and it is dishwasher safe. I should buy another one...incase the one I have is in the dishwasher.

Everyone in my family has loved this spatula. It works wonderfully to mix ingredients and to stir hot food on the stove. It has become the first thing I get out any time I cook.

This spoonula works well for its purposes. I’ve been using it for a week or so and haven’t noticed any tears or damage and it holds up to heat well. You should know all the edges are very thin and flexible, like the thin edge of a rubber / silicone spatula. The result is that it works very well for a silicone spatula replacement in baking (stirring in bowls, etc); but it’s not the best replacement for stovetop cooking. Unfortunately, the thin edges catch on the rivets of pots and pans as I’m scraping around the edges and the thin edge isn’t ideal for stirring, making it difficult to use for scrambling eggs or other cooktop applications. So, if you want it for baking, it’s great; but if you want it for cooking and dishing out food from stovetop it’s not the best option.

I really like that these spoons have a reinforced core, not just the handle. I have had other spoons with very flimsy ladle area and they are useless. I can cook as well as serve food with these. I even set them over top of pan with boiling pasta to stop boiling over and they have stood the test of time. This is my second purchase of these, first set is almost a year old and have not cuts, nicks, melts... I would highly recommend these if you are looking for a well made cooking tool.
