Bought 2 of these, one as a gift and one for myself and both where well recived.Balancing the disk can be fiddly in the beginning but is easy once you get the nack, a aid is included but I find it easyer without, the LEDs also help in this regard.The magnetic feild is quite strong and can levitate rather dense obgects for example a small steam engine or a large bismuth crystal which Ive currently got on it. However care must be tacken to correctly balance the oject lest it flip the disk which will cause it to crash into the base, this will also happen if power is cut to the unit.Disk can remain stationary or rotate either way, this is assisted so will go for as long as left undisturbed and powerd.All in all a fun and novil way to show off stuff you like .

I have seen some struggle with setting the levitating platform up, but the LEDs make it very clear where you need to adjust the platform to obtain the correct balance. I had it up and running on the first go.Pros:- Platform is sturdy.- Levitating disc is rather spacious, and can supper larger objects than I expected (for example, a 55mmx55mmx55mm Rubik's cube).- Comes with pwer source (UK plug).Cons:- The levitating platform does scratch easily.There is also a plastic assistive disc to help you with setting the disc to the right position. I haven't understood how to use it, but I didn't need it anyway.Warning: The magnet is strong! Both the platform and the disc will attract each other very strongly when the unit is powered off or the disc is off-balance.All in all, I like this and I'm happy with it. I would defeintely recommend this.For some additional techy details, this runs on 12V and consume about 120mA of current (no disc).
