This product has been in service for approximately 6 months and failed with ZERO load on it
The inverter was working perfectly for 6 months. Then today i go to turn it on as the solar array has finished charging the battery. It turned on just fine as usual. A couple of hours later i go to enable the transfer switch so it can pick up loads. (I have it installed in an enclosed small shed mounted on the wall along with other electronics etc.). Upon entering the shed i detect an acrid smell typical of burning electrical insulation or bakelite. The inverter had no light on and the reset did not work. Operating the power switch does nothing. It is dead. The best part is that the warranty period ran out 2 weeks ago and the support ran out 14 days ago!!! Effectively AIMS Corp has created the product with built-in obsolescence. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT it has a manufacturing defect!!!!UPDATE: Upon removing the cover plate for the inverter it was clear that the defect was one of the Thyristor banks connected to the negative battery terminal. The picture shows the relevant burned out Thyristor bank. Either poor part selection or shoddy workmanship!UPDATE: Sorry not Thyristors. They are Transistor IRF3205 TO-220 N Channel MOSFET. And both banks are damaged (burned out) one worse than the other. So it looks like they started to fail, then a failure cascade occurred as the load increased on the few remaining until the circuit failed entirely.LAST UPDATE: I was contacted (after sending a support request through their Website) by an AIMS engineer. He helped me tremendously after asking a few questions. He then said "If the purchase date was just over a year, we can honor the warranty." So i followed his instructions and filed for an RMA request. This was processed promptly with regular email updates to me as to status. Upon inspection AIMS decided to send me a new unit. To me this action alone raises the rating to 4 stars. The reason is that in this day and age customer service is just as important as the viability of the product. AIMS has distinguished itself among the excellent companies to work with. The failure rate of this product is well under 1% according to AIMS and i believe it. Just drew the short straw. I would purchase an AIMS product again without hesitation. Thanks AIMSR

We did a lot of research hopefully aimscop 5000-Watt-Pure-Sine-Inverter.htm they have website and it's made for rVs and trucks
This one from their website description is specifically designed for the trucks and RVs5000 Watt Pure Sine Inverter - 12 volt 50/60 hz Industrial. This was a little hard because there aren't that many people selling pure sine 5000 W inverter's 12 V many of the other ones on the market tend to come with a charger and other items for solar panel inputs etc.. we only needed the inverter and GFCI Outlets rated at 20A per block, we were just looking for a plane inverter in this meets all the requirements. From all the research we could find this seems to be a solid piece of equipment if anything changes will definitely update this reviewOff their own website they also have a PDF for the manual of this particular inverterSpecifications And we called aimscorp phone number is on their website 775-359-6703 and they have a live person that can help you for support as well as email, Many other companies only email some don't even have phone support trying to find some of these other companies phone numbers is very difficult. Hope the review helps thank you

Battery voltage and capacity is a must to keep it performing as you expect
Works good, runs all my big draw items, shop vacs, dewalt mitre saw, 1/2 hp well pump (pushes tank pressure up to 60psi) and other electrical loads. One thing is you better have good batteries and good capacity also keep them charged, at 12.1 volts mine will beep the inverter when a heavy load hits it, but it powers threw and it will do the job, you get your banks down to around 11.2volts the loads will beep the inverter and then run for a short time then shut off and then keep cycling this way until your battery bank is charged. Once it charged back up good to go. I have a auto start for my generator that will start my generator when voltage drops below 11.7 volts, it activates the transfer switch, it charges battery bank and I’m good to go. If you want to have this inverter to run on lower battery voltage or capacity then the low 11volt range it’s not for you.

Check merchandise immediately!
This inverter looks like it can handle some serious power!I had to return it because during shipping all the fans got damaged.Looks like someone dropped it from a great height. As soon as I get my refund I will order another one and see how it goes!

A very fine product at a good price
Awesome product, quite, reliable, easy to install. I’m able to run my microwave for 5 min if off the grid. I have it on full time powering a supplemental frig in my RV. Can’t do both together however. Would need 3000 watt version to do that.Only complaint is that it does not have a remote Bluetooth on/off capability.

I needed an inverter to run an off the grid building site.
This is the bomb. I'm done with the carpentry tools for now. But it's running freezers and fridges, mini-splits and well pumps. At 5K watts it's exactly what I needed. May have to get another as I'm pushing summer cooling loads with a/c stuff. Impressed.

So far I am extremely happy with this AIMS Power (PWRIG300012120S) 3000W Pure Sine Power Inverter with GFCI. It is very important to install high power inverters with the proper power wires in order for it to work correctly. I used 4/0 welding cable and had to run a length of 8 feet, which is definitely a longer length of cable than preferred. So far I've ran several tests and I cannot believe how stable the power is. The inverter also runs very cool, I ran the RV microwave (1350 watts) for 12 minutes nonstop and it took 9 minutes before the cooling fans even turned on. Another test was to run the RV AC unit, which worked great, however I only ran a 5 to 10 minute test. Please note that I connected my RV AC line to the inverter hard wired connectors for maximum output with 10 gauge wire. Another point to note is that the unit is comparably quite light and easy to install. I will try to provide a follow up review after my first couple of camping trips. The only negative is with the packaging and the internal support foam. They could have built up the foam padding on the DC connector side more because the DC plastic cover plates are very close to the cardboard box and my inverter showed some amounts of shipping damage but only cosmetic. The supplier was willing to take it back but after looking at it closely it didn't look too bad.

excellent buy
the inverter was bought for the soul purpose of providing emergency power for my house furnace along with a battery pack noco gb150 after tests I ran at home. the combination provided 118vac @ 10amps for 40 minuits which represented 3 full gas furnace cycles at which point the battery voltage dropped from 12.3vdc to 10.4 vdc . the 10.4vdc is the shut off point of the inverter.I am very happy with the results.

So far so good
So far so good. Runs my trailer off my solar shed like a dream AC and all. Only grey area (because I haven't been able to test it enough yet) is the parasitic draw it takes while nothing else is running.
