Good precision, easy to use
I wanted a tuner with more precision than the ones sold at the guitar shop. I like this one. Easy to use, easy to read. The ability to tune all strings at once is cute, but I rarely use it. I've had more than one person compliment me on this tuner instead of my guitar (and I have a very nice guitar.)

My favorite clip-on guitar tuner!
I have tried a variety of guitar tuners from plug-in tuners, stomp-box-style tuners and, especially for acoustic guitars, clip-on tuners. The PolyTune Clip, by TC Electronics is the newest one to grace my collection, and, so far, it is the best I've seen. The tuner is a lot smaller than most pictures would have you believe. The clip is mostly metal, compared to plastic in most competitors. Accuracy seems very good - I don't have the capacity to test the accuracy scientifically, but it sounds good to my ear (I've played guitar for over 40 years) and compares favorably with the other tuners I referenced it against - namely a Boss TU-3 and a PolyTune Mini, as well as other clip on tuners (see below).I have heard some complaints that the adjustability is only on one plane, so you can't place the tuner "just so", but in practice, I haven't had a problem putting it where it is highly visible on a variety of guitar head stocks, both 6 on a side (Fender style) or 3x3 (Gibson/Guild, etc.). When you “flip” the tuner to attach it “upside down”, the display automatically adjusts. So, let's compare to some of the competitors that reside in my music room.A lot of my friends love the Snark tuners - I own a few, myself. They are cheaper - a lot cheaper, and work pretty well. However, I have seen too many break at the clip for me to spend more money on them. Snark SN-1 TunerD'Addario NS Micro-clip tuners. Hard to position just right and the display is too small to really tune easily. D'Addario NS Micro Clip-On Tuner They make a different model that has a more flexible clamp system - making it easier to find the right spot, but the too-small display plagues this one as well. D'Addario NS Micro Universal TunerUp until now my favorite clip-on tuner is the Intellitouch PT-10. Intellitouch PT10 Mini Clip-On Tuner - Easy to use, and a display that is easy to "dial-in". While I still like this model, and will use them when the occasion warrants it, it is a slight step below the PolyTune clip. What I liked about the PolyTune Clip:* Style - the multiple LED lights are easy to read and make it easy to dial in the proper pitch. When the string is out of tune you see red lights and green when it is in tune. The multiple LEDs make it easy to see just how far out of tune you are.* The ability to check all strings at once (the "PolyTune" feature is unique to TC Electronics).* Multiple tunings available (and tuning for Bass guitar)* Ease of use.* Quality - I have never bought a TC Electronics product (And I have a lot of their products) that wasn't really well built. What I didn't like:* Price - at around $49 street price, they are more money than some, but they are a lot better built. I got this one through Amazon Vine to evaluate, but I also bought another one because I like them a lot!* The cheap, flimsy instruction sheet written in extremely small type that was hard to read. You'd think for $50 that they'd give you a copy of the manual (which is very well written and easy to follow). You can download the owner's manual from the TC Electronics website.Clip-on tuners are easy to use, especially in a live setting. Even the fact that you can almost maintain eye contact with your audience while tuning, rather than looking down at a floor mounted tuner adds professionalism to your performance. The TC Electronics PolyTune Clip is the best clip on tuner I’ve had the pleasure of working with to date.

These tuners are perfect
Hell, I forgot I even ordered this thing. I had one before though and they are Numero Uno! Best tuner I ever owned, but I wonder where mine is?

Slickest tuner ever!
I've only owned Snark & the knockoff electronic tuners, which are very useful & economical. But when playing with my friends who use Petersen tuners, I wasn't able to tune to the same accuracy as them. Then I discovered this tuner, which can show the tuning status of all 6 strings simultaneously! This may seem like a gimmick at first, but allows you to strum all strings at once & QUICKLY see if any are out of tune. This tuner also responds faster than others I've used, so I can tune quicker. The display is very bright & easy to read, and I have not experienced any glitches or inaccuracies with it yet, unlike my cheapie tuners.

Very Accurate and Very Cool but could be improved a bit
The Good:First off, as a tuner this guy is very accurate, right on par with my Korg chromatic. The polytune feature is fantastic, you just strum evenly and you see the tunings on all strings and which ones need adjustment in an instant, I can't tell you how handy that is, where has this been all my life? The Meh:I only have a couple minor issues with the design, which I'm taking a star off for, but with some easy fixes this could be the best clip on tuner on the market. I like to suggest a fix when I complain about something so here we go:Issue #1 is the clip. It's metal with some rubber feet on it, kinda like the clip that holds your garage door opener on your sun visor in the car. Maybe I'm just paranoid but I worry about the pressure that metal clip exerts on the headstock and also that one of the feet will come off an I'll be gouging an expensive guitar with a bare metal clip. The Fix: Change the clip design to be softer, change the metal to some kind of plastic or rubber.Issue #2 is the button on the top. You use it to turn the tuner on and off and I can't feel it and it's all wobbly and awkward trying to push a button on top of a long skinny tuner at the end of your headstock. Just move the button to the side and make it more tactile.Overall:I really do like this tuner and it's probably going to be my main tuner at home, I'll buy one of the polyphonic pedal tuners for stage now that I know how awesome they are. Just fix the flaws on this clip-on and I'll buy another one, I promise!

Best I've tried
I already had the black noir mini, so I knew already how it works. I also have the Strobo clip, this is a lot better, solid construction, easy to use.

Clip on Guitar Tuner
Finest, most accurate clip-on tuner there is. Save your money and stop buying the cheap ones that, not only do a poor job of tuning your instrument, but they break down and get tossed in the trash, so you have to buy another one. In the long run, these last much longer and perform far better. I have four that are all over 3 years old and going strong. Highly recommend
