I bought this swivel vegetable peeler specifically to peel lemons, limes, and oranges so I could make my own essential oils—and it works perfectly. The swivel blade glides smoothly over the citrus, removing just the outer zest without digging into the bitter white pith. The ergonomic handle makes it easy to control and use for extended periods. Once I peel the fruit, I let the zest air dry for a day or two, then place it in a clean glass jar and cover it with a carrier oil like jojoba or olive oil. I let the mixture sit in a sunny window for a few weeks, shaking it gently every day. After that, I strain the oil, and what I get is a beautifully fragrant homemade citrus oil. This peeler makes the process so much easier and more precise—I love it.

This is a very nice peeler. After using my mom’s old peelers from the 60s, which were often aggravating to use, I bought this peeler and could not be happier. The handle is comfortable and while the blade does take off a little thicker peel than the old style peeler, it sure makes the job quicker and easier. I hand wash it and once it’s dry, I reattach the plastic blade guard before putting it in the drawer. I peel nearly 40 pounds of apples every fall to make apple butter and this peeler makes light work of it. It’s a little champ! 😊

This item skins a sweet potato skin like butter. Very sharp (careful, found out the hard way) Definitely worth every penny!!
