The top and bottom sections got bent right away and it doesn’t exactly give a good impression of anything larger than 3/4 of the length. But other than that I’m happy i users this for my door Jambs when doing my LVP install

The photos in the listing show the smaller unit as 5 inches wide. This is not accurate. The blue measuring area is 5 inches wide, whereas the entire unit is 5-3/4 wide. I needed it to fit inside a 5.5 inch cylinder, which this does not. Even though it says it should.Beyond that the plastic tines are somewhat difficult to move up and down, you're not gently matching contours with this thing. You need some force. Which is also not a great feature. The metallic unit from General is a much better option, and my usual go-to (https://www.amazon.com/General-Tools-Contour-Duplicator-6-Inch/dp/B00004T7RA). But it's 6 inches wide and I needed a narrower unit. ... which this listing falsely claims to be.

This tool really works. We had a really complicated cut to blend trim and without this tool, it wouldn’t have happened.

Seems good n works. Tho he doesn't use it as much as I hoped. Idk

I ordered this contour gauge because I thought we'd use it for home projects but I the main reason I bought it because I thought it would work well in my pottery designs. If I make a pot on the wheel and want to duplicate it's shape, I can press it on my finished pot, draw the curve, create a template and replicate it again. I got it for myself for Christmas and my whole family was using it all over the house to "measure" items like door jams, chair legs, and molding. We had a blast and a lot of them want one as well. This thing is great! I haven't had a chance to actually USE it yet but I have pressed it onto surfaces and can see how it will work for me!
