When I bought a new car with all-black interior in February, I wasn't thinking about the scorching temperatures we have during the summer in Northern California. When the temperature rose into the 80's (and then the 90's and 100's), the interior of my car was unbearable. Even if the sun wasn't directly shining on the black leather seats, they were so hot I couldn't sit on them without a towel.First I ordered a more traditional seat cover. It took over 30 minutes to install and still didn't really fit my car seats that well (I have a 2016 Prius). So in desperation I ordered these Sojoy IsoTowel Car Seat Covers. They took minutes to install and fit perfectly. Because of the backing, they don't slip when you sit on them.Yesterday, I came out to my car and the temperature was 108 degrees. The driver's seat had been in full sun. But I was still able to sit on it comfortably. I very rarely write product reviews, but I felt compelled to write this one. It does everything it promises and for a very reasonable price.

I purchased this because I didn’t want to dirty my driver’s side car seat when I’m sweating. My seats are cloth covered so they’re more difficult to clean than leather seats.The Sojoy IsoTowel Car Seat Cover is made to fit universally in all cars. It drapes over your seat kind of like a towel, but one that keeps its place due to the silicone beading on the underside and the various adjustable drawstrings. Thankfully the product also comes with a matching headrest cover too made with the same absorbent microfiber material.The material is meshed, almost like one of those Yoga towels that you place on top of your mat. The edges are reinforced so there won’t be any problems with fraying or worn edges after multiple washings. The material is made of microfiber, and the texture of the material is a bit stiff and not very soft, but it isn’t entirely too uncomfortable. It’s a little scratchy and I was hoping for something slightly softer. However, I can see how this towel would work well in absorbing sweat. The towel stays relatively cool as compared to other microfiber material, which is probably why they call this the “IsoTowel.”The most convenient thing about this product is that it is easy to clean! Just take it off and throw it in your washing machine! You can also easily remove the product, fold it up and store it in the inbuilt meshed bag. Leave it in your car and it’s ready to use at all times. This product would also probably work and fit in the backseat as well. You’ll just have to purchase 5 of them to cover the entire car (Two for front seats, 3 for back seats).So far I’ve had no problems with the towel sliding around my seat. The coverage is sufficient and I am quite satisfied with it.

In a couple of months, the seat covers got a bit dirty. No matter how much I washed them, with Shout and detergent, without Shout, 2 machine cycles, they won't clean. I noticed this from the first stain that I mentioned in the video, but I thought it was because of hand sanitizer. Nope. They simply won't clean. I will have to spend another $40 or so to get another brand...I bought 2 of these because I am in Florida and I have leather seats that get ridiculously hot.Original review:This seat cover is brilliant. Breathable, doesn't get hot, and looks very good.I stained one with hand sanitizer and I had a hard time getting the stain off completely, but Shout did a good job and the stain is almost out.I reached out to customer service and they offered a replacement, but I chose not to take it because the seat is pretty good now that I mostly got rid of the stain.I don't know how long they will last but they seem very durable.

Hot damnp!Nobody seems to be noticing how ridiculously hot the neoprene of these covers makes their butts and backs.I’m sitting on one now in my car as I write. My lower back is a little sweaty and my butt more so. (My boxers feel damp.)The leather seat is hotter with the cover than without it.I can’t yet speak to weather it’s waterproof, as I haven’t sat on it after swimming or getting thoroughly sweaty yet. I assume it will prove to be.Otherwise it seems a good cover, especially for the current price of $23.If anyone can recommend a different cover that is cooler and still waterproof, I’d appreciate it. Right now I’m considering purchasing a non-waterproof cover to put overtop this one.J.
