International Version from India, not supposed to be sold in USA
I thought that I was getting the USA version, however, the little red triangle in the upper left of the book cover says that the book is for sale in the continent of India, and is not authorized to be sold outside the continent of India. I went back to the description of the book, and it did say it was the international edition for India. I saw no mention about it not being able to be sold in the USA. Anyway, I returned the book and got a full refund. I tried contacting the publisher, but never got a response. Don’t get this version if you live in the USA. It was sent via DHL, which I should have recognized as an international package carrier. At least I got a full refund!

Very good, particularly if you're interested in an algorithmic approach to Python.

Not as good as the java version
Great book, but the programs are all sort of ugly, using weird non-pythonic codes, more like an artifact of the book being "translated" from Java. Excellent explanation of the algorithms etc. nevertheless.

Solid book with A LOT of exercises
The explanations are clear, examples are given plenty and the website contains a lot of extra information. In the beginning I dreaded the exercises (as I wanted to get through the book as quickly as possible), but a decent amount of the exercises are interesting. They also help to reinforce everything that is taught here.5/5
