This light fixture makes an excellent entry light. Let it be known that the electrical leads cannot be easily shortened due to the fact they are a molded construction. Given that I used it for an entry light I needed to reduce the length of hang-down leads to allow a 6-foot+ person to pass under it. Fortunately there is enough room in the ceiling cover to carefully lay or wrap the leads without them binding when fitting it to the ceiling. A second person helping is needed to do this operation. Also, the connectors that come with this light are not good. Its poor practice to using a fastener to trap stranded wire, so I used standard twist connector to connect the leads to the power leads. I installed gray tinted Edison style LED light bulbs in it and it looks great. All-in-all, I am extremely pleased with this purchase, even though it took several hours to get everything perfectly set to the drop-lengths we wanted.

After searching in every lighting store in town I went to amazon. Found this very quickly. It is everything I wanted. Excellent quality. Good amount of light. We used a dimmer switch. I love it. It makes the perfect statement. Now just need to touch up the ceiling paint where it was installed. I’m not sure what the “thickness” rating is about. But it’s great.

User manual. See illustration 1 & 4. Do you see a problem? If not, you're the problem. Once your lovely terminal blocks are connected in illustration 3, you can't install the lamp holder plate because there's not enough clearance. Will not lay flat! The terminal blocks either need to be cut apart or eliminated and all the wires connected in the correct sequence with wire nuts. Ended up cutting apart one terminal block and throwing the rest away. Threaded parts are also a joy to work with - NOT. DONE!

I’m obsessed with this light! Installation was a breeze. I shortened it a lot and wasn’t able to put the cords into my ceiling. So instead I coiled them into the ceiling plate and it worked perfectly! Would recommended to everyone!

It looks cool but installation is a little off from the instruction manual. It's easy to figure out how to install
