Received in a vacuum-packed package. When I first took them out, I wasn't too sure. However, before first use, I put them through the washer and dryer. I used fabric softener in the washer, and a fabric softener sheet in the dryer, and they came nice and fluffy. What can you say about a washcloth? It held the body wash and lathered up fine. Then to the towel. Absorbed and dried just fine. These are a good set of towels and wash clothes at a very competitive price. A good purchase.

These are so nice especially for the price and there large. My hubby thought I spent $30-40 for the set. They were not that fluffy or very soft, just average like $7 Walmart/Target towels but slightly larger but after washing and drying they are softer and fluffier. Perfect! The only negative was they shed but I have a tip that helped a ton. I washed them twice in hot water, they did not fade. After each wash I shook them out really well. After the second wash I put them in the dryer with a fabric sheet for 30 minutes and shook them again after removing from the dryer. I only had one piece of fluff that shook out .. Done. It wasn't as much as the reviews I read or expecting so I'm confused by those reviews. My lint filter wasn't bad either. They are so fluffy and soft now. These are better then the last set I got from Wal-Mart for sure. I've heard the ones that shed extra fluff are the more softer towels but I'm no towel expert so don't quote me on it. I've washed them several times now, they are not shedding now and they haven't faded at all. I bought this and a line of Navy wash cloths by Utopia that faded after one wash and do not look navy any longer. These are great for decorative purposes also since they do not fade.Right now I'm giving them 4 stars to see how they hold up over time and they may possibly receive a 5 stars rating from me. So far I'm pleased. This set absolutely looks like you paid more so I'm surprised by the poor reviews about not being soft, thick etc. They are really the perfect thickness/softness, etc in my opinion. They could be a tad thicker though. These are actually larger then expected which is perfect for me since I love large towels.If you are used to $11-20 a piece luxury towels you may want to rethink these. If you are looking for a good basic towel ( on the large side) these are for you. I posted pictures.. Both towels, hand towels and wash cloths just about reach the top of the bottom towel cabinet.I wish Amazon sold sets of like 4 towels, etc. I actually only needed the towels but they didn't have just towel sets.All in all these are perfect as a starter set, off to college, bachelor or for the family. I bought these for my little family of 3 as I just needed a few new towels but I wouldn't hesitate buying another set. They are not small or flimsey and I'm not embarrassed to have family visiting use these. I wouldn't gift them as a wedding gift because I think custom, monogrammed or luxury when it comes to gifts of that nature. I would not mind giving these as a holiday gift if I knew the preferred color or would just choose neutral. All in all I really like them and I've been pretty pleased with most of the things I've purchased from the Amazon Basics branded line as far as price and quality both.

These appear to be what I've been looking for: a nice sized towel that is not so thick you can't dry your small parts. Thick towels feel good but to me are not practical. I just took these out of the dryer from first wash. A lot of lint, but I expected that. I am hoping they dry fairly quickly and wear well. Time will tell. In the meantime I'm ordering another set or two. If anything changes, I'll correct my review.

Each washcloth, hand towel and bath towel were super Absorbent and Soft!!!

The towels wrap around the body perfect with extra space and stay on. Very soft and comfy, but still dry quickly. Not too heavy or thick. They do have a lot of colorful lint even after multiple washes, so I recommend washing multiple times before using.

This review is being written after just receiving one towel set as a trial purchase. The towels arrived vacuum packed, and I was somewhat nervous as to whether or not they would fluff-up after being washed with soap and fabric softener. You should know that the water in the washing machine was the color of claret wine. Strangely, the bath towels fluffed better than the hand towels or the washcloths. They were still on the thin side, nevertheless. When dried, there was a huge amount of lint (perhaps 1-inch thick) in the dryer. In evaluating the absorbency, it was moderate. All in all, I decided to go ahead with purchasing more towels since they were quite reasonable. Be aware that if you decide--as I did--that you would chance more towel purchases, the price will go up significantly. Frankly, I felt duped!Addendum: After three washes, the wash water is now only the color of pink lemonade. It seems that the bath towels and hand towels are decent quality--reasonably thick and fluffy--but the washcloths are stiff and thin. The dryer is still coated with an inch of lint. Keep in mind that I only purchased one set of towels.Addendum #2 (the last one): I think that I have isolated the excessive lint problem. The bath and hand towels are of decent quality. On the other hand, the stiff, thin washcloths--that seem as though they are made of different material, but the same dye lot--are visibly losing the fibers and getting slight bald patches. Keep in mind that this is one week's worth of washing!
