Patience, time and steady hands. Three things needed to make this a success.The shells are of great quality (I chose the NES themed black shells with a dpad configuration) and they look great and feel very comfortable.They include a screwdriver which interchangeable heads for Phillips and the Tri type. There are a few reviews on here that said the screwdriver stripped the Tri screws. I believe that the screwdriver supplied (interchangeable heads rather than 2 separate screwdrivers) are the new issued version which is supposed to rectify this issue and I certainly had no issues with it. My advice is to go carefully, line up the shape, apply a good amount of pressure whilst unscrewed, this will still the screwdriver to become unseated and stripping the screw. No need to buy separate screwdrivers.The YouTube video signposted has an incorrect instruction which is in the title but I almost missed it so bear in mind when when watching it.It took me about an hour to do both joycons. I have no prior electronics experience and is the first time doing something like this. I would not have been able to do this task without some nose tweezers - I would suggest you buy a separate tweezers for this job. Search for ESD 15 tweezers and those are the pair that you need. I needed them to pull out and reattach the ribbon that you need to do as part of the task, I have small fingers but I don't think even the slightest of hands could reattach the ribbon without tweezers. Would also advise being careful when you open the joycon, I used a credit card to carefully snap it open so I could just fold it like a book like the video. Try doing this with just your hands and you risk ripping the ribbons and destroying your joy cons.

The comfort of the Joy-Cons are still there and the design looks so damn good however the installation of the shells is a pain in the ass. Being a 13 year old with no prier experience doing anything like this I managed it fine but it was still difficult, if you get the right tools like tweezers and a place to put the screws it will be much easier. But if you’re willing to sacrifice your Joy-Cons then i say go for it.

Best joy con shells I’ve been able to use.Please make more colours/designs!Tips:Take your time.Don’t over tighten the screws.You can change how your joycons look on your Switch (see photo) just google “joy con toolkit”BIG TIP: In the suppliers instructional video for the “plus button” version, the ribbon that connects ZR to the main PCB is shown UPSIDE DOWN. I would recommend taking a picture of the ribbon connectors before removing them. This mistake nearly cost me £40 on another joycon.

These really are awesome. Only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because the screwdrivers included were absolutely useless. Had to get a separate £5 Switch specific tri screwdriver and was lucky that I already owned a small enough Phillips head that worked for the inside screws. Otherwise, this feels really solid and it wasn’t too hard to do but I’m used to handling very fiddly pieces being an avid warhammer hobbyist.

Excellent product and excellent customer service. I got the d-pad version and it’s very responsive. I had an issue with missing a piece but the seller resolved it straight away with great communication. The building of the product was fairly straightforward as long as you follow instructions carefully and be organised with your screws. The video provided by the company on their youtube channel is really helpful too. Overall very pleased and will consider more purchases.

Product is excellent and really makes my switch stand out. The trick is to take your time and go step by step and for the love of all things Nintendo use a pair of tweezers from the start! I didn't so it took me twice as long on the right joycon. About am hour in total for the two.

Has no instructions, didn’t get all the pieces to build it. It was useless had to bin it.

Dont attempt if your not willing to put time inDo not reuse security screws it's a headache trust me 😅Look very coolI wouldnt buy the d-pad case if I knew how stiff it was just stick to the button case

I like everything about them but one thing that bothers me was that the red Buttons did not align into my nintendo switch.

Ho acquistato questi nuovi alloggiamenti per una coppia di joycon gialli che avevo ma che non mi piacevano: il risultato finale è stato pazzesco.Parto dicendo che in confezione è presente tutto l'occorrente per smontare e rimontare i joycon, o forse dovrei dire QUASI tutto.Per fare un buon lavoro, è necessario avere anche una pinzetta per scollegare i connettori piatti ed un plettrino per separare la scocca a metà.Quindi consiglierei all'azienda di integrare questi due accessori fondamentali nella scatola.Riguardo la qualità della plastica non ho nulla da dire, nulla da invidiare a quella originale Nintendo.In questa versione che ho acquistato io, è presente una patina/finitura simil-gommata bellissima al tatto.La scocca aderisce perfettamente su se stessa, senza creare spazi o scalanature percepibili al tatto.Ho scelto anche di acquistare la versione con il D-PAD al posto dei 4 pulsanti delle freccette. Sinceramente mi aspettavo un D-PAD simile a quello del controller pro Nintendo (che non lo ritengo molto preciso ed affidabile), invece devo dire che questo è una spanna sopra perché è MOLTO più preciso rispetto a quello originale.Infine, vorrei fare una considerazione personale sul montaggio.Ho impiegato circa 1 ora e 30 min per spostare la circuiteria interna di entrambi i joycon. È un lavoro che richiede MOLTA PAZIENZA E PRECISIONE, nulla di impossibile ma c'è un rischio elevato di causare danni interni.Vi consiglio in via preliminare di guardare un video su come smontare entrambi i joycon (dx e sx hanno procedure leggermente diverse) e, se non volete assumervi il rischio, rivolgetevi ad un esperto.La cosa che ho trovato più "rognosa" è stata scollegare il connettore della vibrazione di entrambi i joycon (senza una pinzetta a punta piatta sarebbe stato impossibile).

Très belle coque qui donne un nouveau style, produit de qualité tout s'ajuste parfaitement, kit complet, 1h30 pour faire les deux joycon, faut juste de la patience

Coques d'excellentes qualités, le Dpad est un vrai plus sur les jeux 2D et sur émulateur !Cependant les 2 tournevis fournis sont de mauvaise facture heureusement j'avais les miens...Quand au boutons, ils font un petit peu cheap mais une fois monté c'est vraiment sympa !Attention cependant le montage est difficile et demanderas du temps et de la dextérité surtout pour le joycon droit, il faudra vous armer de patience et de finesse mais me résultat est vraiment très sympa !!!
