Stands Behind Their Product
I have used this pickup on my mandolin for the last 2 years on stage. Fine product. The gooseneck has plenty of reach to position over the sound hole, the tone is full, rich, natural and clear. The mike sound is a much better sound than from the piezo pick ups in my two acoustic guitars (an OP24+ and EMG systems). But that isn't what really makes this product great. What makes it great is the customer service that owner Gregg Myers provides. He stands 100% behind their mikes. I bought this mike two years ago, and recently it had developed a problem. I was really worried that it was beyond warranty, and I was going to have to buy a new mike. But after contacting his business, he was willing to fix or replace the device for FREE -- something I did not expect for an electronic piece that was already 2 years old. He even went out of his way to expedite it, so that I could quickly get my mandolin back on stage again. My opinion of the Myers pickup is great sound, great service.

Low Signal..
produces a very low signal powered by a watch battery. Just unusable even with DI

sounds great- for about 45 seconds until it falls off
The pickup really does sound nice, but the suction cup just does not stay attached. I use it on a more "economical" mandolin so I just used some thin strips of tape to hold it.

Nice sound!
I tried this out a few weeks ago and like the sound quality much better that a piezo pickup. I do not get the percussion sound like with a piezo when I strum the Mandolin strings, I get a good clean sound through my amp. I like that it has a volume nob, that makes it nice to turn it down when I switch instruments. I'm not sure about the suction cup as an attachment, it hasn't fallen off yet but I have only used it a few time and it seems to hold. Also, I am not sure the performance of the Suction cup on other surfaces beside a glossy finish. I know this company makes similar units that attach by a outer body clamp instead of a suction cup. I think I would have purchased one of those instead but I will put this one through it paces.

I liked this product very much, but it turned out I didn't need it. Returned with no problem. Very happy.

the product is great. It delivers great sound quality and does not ...
First, the product is great. It delivers great sound quality and does not damage your instrument and can be used for any instrument, such as mandolin, banjo, violin and I'm told, even woodwinds. This is a solution for an acoustic instrument of any kind that is transferable to any other and portable enough to fit in a small pouch equipped with a carabiner clip. I am now getting the feather model, which has a preamp that is not placed on the instrument, but can be placed on your belt or in your pocket which helps as the line doesn't attach to the instrument. Second, customer service is extremely responsive. I wrote to the seller and received an email and call within a few minutes. Highly recommended.

Great pickup. Great customer service.
I’ve been happily using this pickup on my mandolin for 5 years. When I bought it, it checked all my boxes: non-permanent, big clean sound, affordable, solid reviews, etc. Ever since, it has proved out as a reliable companion, making me sound great during jams and live gigs. Recently Gregg (Myers CEO) went way beyond the call to fix an issue I was having. He took the time to both upgrade my setup and to give me advice on the best signal path. It’s a rare and appreciated feeling to have the owner personally take the time (on a Saturday no less) to take care of my issue, and in a pleasant comprehensive way. I shall remain a Myers fan.

Does what is says
A very nice little mandolin mic pick-up. Cons are:1) Feedback when in front of a monitor or facing amp2) The suction cup doesn't hold well enough. Have to loop cable through belt loop in order to take pressure off and it holds fine3) It's a bit quieter (less responsive) than I hoped. All that said I am pleased with it and use it for performances regularly. I found running it through an acoustic EQ pedal has helped.
