SE Natural Wood Walking Stick with Root Head, Carved Hand Grip, Steel Spike and Metal-Reinforced Tip Cover, 55" - WS631-52RH

I'm tall. 6'5". I dislike using a cane (bad right ankle), so I resolved to find something that helped my stability better and more comfortably than a cane. During my search I came to consider using a walking stick. I'm so glad I did. The only issue was to figure out how tall it would need to be, given my height. I also wanted something distinctive (something other than a straight aluminum pole). Most of the wooden walking sticks were 55". But 55" is only 4'7", that's barely up to my chest. I finally found this 60" walking stick but at five feet, I was still concerned that it would still be a little too short. Not so. What I received was a walking stick that fit as though it were custom made for me. Better than I could make for myself.I am so pleased. It's perfect. A nice little crook in the wood gives it wonderful character and the finish is beautiful. Strong. It easily supports my 270 lbs and the grip is contoured to fit my hands perfectly. Just got it and looking forward to much relief and better stability.

The first stick was a thinner diameter than the replacement stick but weighed a few ounces more. Denser wood? The replacement stick has larger diameter, has a smoother finish and did come with the rubber tip. The design at the grip area is not aggressive enough to provide much grip. I had to return the original stick because of the missing tip, there is no contact information available through Amazon or on line to contact the company. So if there is an issue an Amazon return is the only option. The 60 inch size will be good for me at 5’ 10’.

My husband uses this when walking in the neighborhood and when we go on camping trips. He absolutely loves it! He is tall and this fits his height perfectly,

Considering the price of this walking stick, I was a little skeptical as to what the actual quality would bring. Wow, was I wrong. It is an absolutely gorgeous piece of wood, with very delightful bends and swirls in it that give it a lot of personality. It feels incredibly sturdy, even when I put all of my weight on it, despite being a very lightweight piece.There is a leatherette wrist-strap at the top which feels comfortable, and there is a high-gloss finish all over the wood that gives a nice "high-end" feel to it. The carving at the top is very shallow and subtle, but gives it a little personality. The gloss finish is thick enough that the carving doesn't really affect the texture or feel of the thing.I would have expected to pay $40-$50 for something that feels like this. I will absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a good walking stick, or even as a prop or decoration, as it is both durable and quite aesthetically pleasing.

I have lost my sense of balance as a result of a lumbar arthritis back operation ten years ago. Recent improvements in my situation have resulted in greater back and leg strength. I now walk hunched over strictly due to a ten year habit. I am hoping the walking stick will provide enough balance information, for me to walk more normally, without my leaning heavily on a stick/cane. This stick seems ideal. I hope you can do was well. ..loving everything about it! It looks natural, feels smooth and well 'made', is super strong and sturdy- after spinal surgery I needed 'support', picked the 60" STAFF, to be able to support myself at any height necessary (I'm 5'1")- my back doesn't hunch over but I walk tall and proud, without debilitating fatigue. If need be a formidable weapon, as well- and I don't look like a debilitated and frail 'senior citizen'... Best purchase ever- even though now I'm called "Moses" and 'Gandalf'.

New Condition, my stick showed up with a curve. I don't mind it. very strong. nice walking stick
