Great fuse box, go ahead and grab an upgraded alternator cable from Clusters by Litke on Facebook! Or you’ll be doing the fuse box again not long after because of a failing stock alternator cable!Photo with fuse box open was before! See the burned up fuse and culprit is the cable!

I had a problem with my Jetta 2001 radiator fan staying on while car was shut off. It would stay on all day and night and my car battery would be dead every morning. This solved the problem. Way easier to install with two people. Didn't have to remove any additional pieces to get to this. One person under car to remove harnesses and the person on top loosens the 2 small bolts that hold it in place.

I hooked this in to a 99 VW Beetle and noticed the sidewall clearance between the power wires not at spec. When installing the wires. They were jammed in there because there simply wasn't enough space. I worried it might cause a problem, since the wires were only marginally protected by a plastic divider. Now I have a wire harness to the alternator that got hot and burned it up and I am not sure if this is partly to blame. Older OEM one was not like this. Also the things on the bottom had different mounting points for securing it. In summary, it burned up and I put the old OEM one in. Don't waste your money.

The reason fuse block terminal is melting is because alternator cable is old and compromised, get new cable otherwise you’ll keep melting terminals.
