The media could not be loaded. I bought this as a birthday present for my soon to be 4 year old nephew. But after opening it to inspect it, I plan on keeping it for my 3 year old son and buying my nephew another one! It is engaging for the whole family, 14 year old and parents included! The magnetic stylus is a great tool to develope pencil grasp and then to push the metal bearings back down is great tactile learning for preschoolers.It has capitol letters on one side and lower case on the other. On the lower case side, the letters are a little small in size causing the magnets to pop up even if the stylus isnt right over top of that spot. That is my only complaint, but not bothersome enough to return or not use this toy.I cant speak to durability yet because we've only had it for a day, but it seems sturdy enough for preschoolers. I definitely wouldn't give this to a "8 month to 18 month old" as the recommended age says on the amazon page. Obviously depends on the child, but I would say 2-4 would probably be the target age. A child that can sit and focus on a task for short periods.

My 2 nieces love this. We will be getting it for all the kids and friends. Keeps them occupied for hours. Even my one year old loves it.

Kids play with this every time they come over.Not for long but they do enjoy it.However a few of the letters the little magnet pieces dont stay up into place.It is kind of frustrating to the kids when they cant get them to stay in place.It does teach them how to draw the letters.We have fun with it.

This is a nice toy and learning tool for both my kids, 2 years old and 4 years old. My older kid has been practicing writing her letters, while myb2 year old is just working on her pencil gripping skills and hand-eye coordination. It’s a nice durable product.

El producto es buenísimo, pero en la letra C la tercer bolita está trabada,ni sube ni baja .Fue envío internacional y creo que me lo voy a terminar quedando por lo engorroso que es hacer la devolución del producto y esperar que me llegue uno nuevo. Una lástima la verdad

My little is struggling with learning to write, and frequently melts down from the frustration- until now. Wow these boards are magic. We can spend half a day working on this board and another with numbers. My little is fascinated, not only with the writing, but also with the “erasing.”

My daughter absolutely loves playing with this. She is enamored with the way the ball bearings pop up into place when she uses the magnetic pen and lives naming the letters. Making it 2 sided is amazing because I didn't have to buy lowercase/ uppercase boards separately to work on both. Five stars!

I’m not as impressed with this as I’d hoped. The magnets are very strong, so it’s hard to move the pen. It’s also so very loud! The little balls rattle around like crazy. On the plus side, it’s very durable so I have no fear of them falling out. My daughter sometimes looks at it to review the ABCs but rarely wants the pen out to actually use it as its intended.
