Much better airflow
This is a much simpler tube than stock! It helps my engine get the air it needed with my Borla exhaust. My engine is no longer struggling when I drive in a sprinted manner and the gear shifting is much more smooth. The stock system was definitely an issue. I believe that this intake system would help with even a stock exhaust to get more air.Get one. It’s one of the less expensive intake systems out there.

it eliminates the large factory plastic thing
If your driving a truck with an LS motor this will give you better air flow and I would highly recommend a catch can if you have active fuel management. This makes the catch can a breeze to install. I think they had catch cans on from the factory but quite for some reason mist likely cost saving. This fits really well and I have close to 10,000 miles with it and no problems so far.

Great sound!
Install only took about 30 mins. All of the supplied hoses and clamps fit well. Have only driven about 10 miles with it so I can’t speak for mileage gains. There is a very deep throaty sound that you can hear in the truck when accelerating. Sounds amazing. Acceleration is much smoother under a light load as well. Would definitely recommend

It's worth the money.
Installed product in 15mins. Easy instructions and everything was complete. Notice a difference when driving, smoother acceleration, noticeable throttle sound and not too loud. It's been a month with the intake jr tube, and gas mileage has increased by 1.5mpg In the city. When on the HWY before would hold steady at 20mpg. Now it's steady at 23.5mpg. So it's generally paying for itself. Would recommend buying it if your looking for something In between and not an overly expensive intake kit. This definitely gets the job done.

201-785 Not for 2014 Suburban
Ordered this kit for my 2014 Suburban, this is not the correct kit fot it, even Airaids website says this is the right one. Contacted Tony at Lead Foot Performance and he was very helpful helping figure out which kit will fit and exchange it for me. For those looking for an Ariad Jr. Kit for the 2014 Suburban, Yukon, or Avalanche the correct kit number is 200-796 for oiled filter or 201-796 for the dry filter. That kit fits perfect, very easy to install.

High Flow Filter damages the engine over time
My throttle body got so dirty it started to create issues. Upon inspection I was shocked to see how dirty the throttle body was. If enough contaminants were passing through to be able to build up on the throttle body, I can't imagine how much was getting to the backs of the valves and how much was getting into the cylinders. Had to be a lot when you think about there being a lot of accumulation at the throttle body. I run a Catch Can because the PCV system routes fuel laden oil vapor to the intake to run with clean air and go through the combustion process again. This coats the inside of the intake tract and the back of the intake valves. Being Direct Injected the valves never are washed by fuel. This process can coke up the valves and cause issues like power loss and mileage loss as well as valve issues. The Catch Can condenses these PCV oil vapors to liquid and lets clean air enter and join the other incoming clean air keeping the intake tract and valves clean. Enter Airaid filter. These high flow filters flow so well because the pores in the material are much, much larger than OE paper filters. This allows dirt and contaminants to enter the intake tract and combustion process. It makes the intake valve backs dirty totally defeating the use of a Catch Can to keep valves clean. Use just the Airaid Jr. tube and use a paper filter. I noticed no real measurable performance difference going back to paper filter while just using tube. The throttle body stays really clean too. What a crappy sacrifice to get some noise and very little performance. Even if the kit added 15 hp, your never gonna notice with weight of a truck in my case. So sorry I did this to a truck I am trying to keep as long as possible.
