Comfortable, not hot, restrictive for the areas that matter, practical!
Excellent, prevents motion but no hot spots, can wear it all the time, even while washing hands a lot of the time, excellent design. Left hand can use computer keyboard without issue.44 days in, durability for the velcro is showing some signs of weakness but it hasn't yet affected the product staying on, I sleep with it on, etc. I do accidentally snag it several times when putting on a jacket so be careful of that.

Excellent purchase
I had tried other wrist splints but none worked like this one. It helped my wrist/hand pain completely.

Works decently for arthritic thumb although not perfect
I received this thumb splint about a week ago so have been testing it. This splint works in stabilizing my arthritic thumb somewhat although I was concerned that this splint still allows the thumb to bend at the knuckle. This is the first splint I've bought for thumb arthritis, and my first experience with arthritis in the thumb, so I don't know if the entire thumb needs to be stabilized to deal with the pain or just the base. If it's just the base, then this splint does keep that part straight although you could bend your thumb there if you really tried because the metal insert isn't super strong or too wide. I actually like that you could still bend it if you wanted; it reminds me of the wrist splints I use for carpel tunnel that still allow for some bending if you absolutely had to bend there. But my carpel tunnel wrist splints are much more effective at stabilizing my wrists in a straight but natural position than this thumb splint is at keeping the thumb base in a straight but natural position. Perhaps it's because the area needing stabilization (thumb vs. wrist) is much smaller area and circumference, so there's less metal that could be used to provide the stiffness. I had considered purchasing one of the splints on Amazon that combine stabilizing the wrist with the thumb but in analyzing reviews and pictures, it seemed to me that perhaps trying to do both at once ends up compromising the thumb stability and/or thumb angle positioning, which is what made me choose just dealing with the thumb and getting this splint instead. This thumb splint has a tight elastic loop inside near the tip that stabilizes the thumb but also means this is a minor source of irritation because it's a bit tight there. The edges of the top of the thumb part are also slightly irritating to me, but neither irritation is long term and disappears once I remove the thumb splint. I imagine that the elastic loop may relax after more usage. In terms of the wrist, when using this thumb splint, I get a little stabilization and I'm not sure that it's the proper position for the wrist although I haven't yet adjusted the metal inside the thumb splint to be a different angle where the wrist is, which may resolve that issue. Just know that the width of the metal and location of it on the wrist, to me, means little support for carpel tunnel pain sufferers. The splint seems to be of good quality with no issues in terms of seams being unfinished or similar issues I've seen regarding other thumb splints. However, because this particular splint is lightweight and has such a thin metal piece in it, I don't believe that it's appropriate to wear the splint in doing household, cooking, or gardening type activities. I wear mine when I'm not using the thumb, but just sitting there watching TV or reading, similar to how I limit my activity level if I were icing an area. My use of this thumb splint is way different from how I use my wrist splints (used in many activities), but I'd rather have a splint I can only wear part of the time that makes my thumb feel better than one I could wear that would also deal with carpel tunnel that would irritate my thumb or leave it at an odd and painful angle. If you want to pursue a combination splint, that design may work for you, but if not, remember this splint for dealing separately with just the thumb.I've worn this splint to bed a couple times and it's held up fine and gave me some relief, just as a wrist splint does for carpel tunnel. Obviously, if my wrist bothers me the same time as my thumb, I can only wear one splint at a time. So that's the negative about this thumb splint design.Overall, because I limit the time I'm wearing a thumb splint, I'm fine with the trade-off of not being able to really stabilize the wrist the same time or wear the splint when doing more activities like I could do with a wrist splint. It would be nice to find something that could handle both but I'm unimpressed by current designs out there.I plan to buy a second thumb splint to use the same time for my other thumb and as a backup for this one. As of this review date, the seller of this item ships directly and is pretty quick in shipping out the item.

Best brace to ease De Quervain's Tenosynovitis
The best brace to ease the pain of De Quervain's Tenosynovitis. It’s light weight, and allows freedom of other fingers for typing, working, etc. I highly recommend this one.

Very good quality and comfortable.
Doctor said I have De Quervain's tenosynovitis and gave me a cortisone shot and a brace. The brace he gave me for $60 was very cheaply made and not comfortable at all. This brace which was less then half the price of the doctors brace is very good quality, very comfortable and sturdy. The Velcro straps are comfortable and stay in place. I have been wearing it for about 20 hours a day for a week now and hove no complaints. Highly recommend this brace.

Velcro doesnt stick for long
I have tendonitis so I need to wear a brace for minimum 8 weeks. I've been wearing this one for 10 days, only during the day not to sleep in, and now the middle velcro is coming lose all day long, just doesn't hold the grip anymore. The fit and comfort was mediocre from the beginning, it doesn't fit my hand great, even when I tried to bend it to my wrist as it's supposed to. But now with the less than perfect fit and the velcro is coming off all the time its nearly useless. I can still use it but probably not for much longer. This is the 3rd brace I've tried and it's the best of those three but still not good.
