This is a versatile beautiful sounding lush reverb.
The MOOER R7 is a great value for the money. A micro pedal containing 7 different reverb models with versatility and tweakability ranging from a simple room ambiance of a mic a few inches from an amp to Lush atmospheric modulated singing cavernous reverb. It passes signal very well and is able to accept a decent amount of boost or overdrive going through it without squashing and peaking out. The original input signal appears to be pure and unmolested adding reverb to the dry signal when the level knob is increased. All 7 of the reverb models are adjustable by 5 perimeters and savable as patches. Even when unplugged the unit goes directly to the last used model when powered up again. I found the LC and HC EQ knobs are very useful when creating large lush atmospheres as they allow the tails to be very large and full without the bass stacking up and overwhelming the original signal. The spring reverb model is also MUCH better than many pedals in this price point, if the pre-delay knob is set to 1/2 or more it will give a boing/drip. Overall this is a nice low noise, highly useful and versatile reverb pedal with saveable presets and high quality impulse models.

So great
Great little synth pedal. I use it on guitar and pedal steel. Synth sounds are really convincing. Optional arpegiator is really cool, but not something I use much since there is no tap tempo for it. The basic synth sounds can be modified somewhat, but really are good straight out of the box. The organ, worth noting, sounds more like a church/pipe organ than a B3. Sounds great, just not as usable in a rock setting as a different organ sound might be.Metal casing, micro pedal, sturdy and tiny.Overall this is a very well spent 80 bucks! Highly recommend!

Mooer E7 - Fun for first synth pedal but limited functionality
Pros:*Small profile on pedalboard.*Arpeggiator on all 7 sounds.*A couple really cool synth sounds.*polyphonic*decent trackingCons:*Only 7 sounds*Some sounds have sweeping mods (like a phaser) that you cannot turn off nor control.*large power draw (so needs dedicated power supply)*won't run off battery*won't work with an expression pedalA few words...For the price, you aren't getting a lot compared to other synths pedals. There are only 7 sounds and only about half of which sounded good and usable to me. The Boss SY-1 costs twice as much, and offers not 7, but 121 highly modifiable synth sounds, has a dedicated effects loop and accepts an expression pedal.Recommendation:If you are looking for a basic polyphonic synth guitar pedal, don't need to control the sound much, don't care about using an expression pedal and are on a budget - this may be the pedal for you. I do think it could be a lot of fun, especially as a first synth pedal for guitar. If you want all the extra sounds and functionality, it is worth saving for the sy-1.As for me, I already own a Boss sy-1 and i just couldn't justify spending another $100 for only 2 or 3 more sounds i might use (so I returned mine).

The LFO ruins it
First and foremost, this is a good pedal. Its a lot of fun, opened up my creativity, and I can get a lot of nice sounds. For a $100 synth pedal, this is a fair deal. I love the arpeggiating switch for each of the seven sounds. The color and style is great. If you are into experimenting and appreciate 70s/80's synth music, you will like this. But theres a huge problem that makes 3 of the 7 synths (sounds 3, 4, 5) for me hard to work with and its the LFO effect. You hear more of an LFO effect than the synth sound itself and you pick this up after 15-30 seconds of playing it. Its annoying. I can't play this in front of other people. It's that bad. It's just a huge "SCHWEEEOOOOEEEEEOOOOSCHWEEEOOOOEEEEEOOOO" sound placed on top of a subtle synth sound and its WAAAAAY too distracting. The LFO effect is completely unnecessary and if I wanted that, I could have just added a flanger/phaser pedal seperately at the end of the mix. The LFO sound is so dominant I can barely hear the actual sound of the synth unless i turn down speed to 0, and even so, its very dominant, just slower. I can't really see it be used in a recording setting, as the speeds can mess around with the tempos you want to record in. This is embarrassingly bad, and I'm surprised its not brought up much in other reviews. Quite frankly, this is enough to kill the pedal, and I'm very surprised that this passed QA and everyone at Mooer thought this was acceptable. I thought that since there is a USB port, there had to be patches to somehow fix this, but so far nothing. I'm not even sure if it would be possible. But whatever, 4/7 is not so bad!Other problems? Sometimes the pedal kills the signal of my rig, and I'd have to unplug it and replug to get it working again, but at least the bypass works. Additionally, there's sudden jumps in volumes and pops that which may require additional compression and EQing to make it sound better. The only other synth like pedal I had was the Korg miku pedal, and I never had that type of issue with popping sounds, so I can't really blame the technology. I assume this a first for Mooer, so I won't be that harsh about it, but I don't think the pedal went through a fair QA process. But its a $100 synth pedal, so cool.

Mooer A7 is wonderful
I was instantly impressed by this small pedal. The amount of sound and quality coming through this $100 box is outstanding and is a testimate to modern tech. The casing is well built and it handles abuse on the road.I've now had this pedal 2 years and the only issue I have had is that upon first power up, sometimes, it will cut off. I unplug the power supply, plug it back in, and it works.Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a powerful mini pedalI don't have Strymon money, and this isn't a clone of anything like that... But for a looping guitarist who wants a thick undertone to play over... This pedal is wonderful.Inspiring and affordable.PLEASE NOTE* The first pedal that I received with my order was damaged and did NOT function. Amazon made the exchange for a working one easy and painless. The replacement product was perfect.

Quality of sound is very good.
It's great for ambient and shoegaze, lots of shimmer, saturation and texture. Very long decay turn my guitar into a real synth. It's not really meant for use as a regular hall or plate reverb, seems to bea bit too saturated to me, although you can dial back the decay and mix as you need. Works well clean and even better with a bit of grit. A keeper!

Low price, fun, novel sound
Awesome little pedal with a unique sound. This pedal is half the price of any other decent synth pedal. It tracks amazingly and it's loud as hell. A few of the modes are iffy but over all I would recommend it. I played it today against a ehx mono synth and it genuinely held its own. I'm impressed. It's missing a volume knob though.

Nice little pedal
The mooer A7 reverb effects have pretty massive sustain which is nice. In terms of versatility alot of the effects are pretty smugly themselves and the parameters and modulation work fine, I'd prefer more versatility to some of the more experimental effects but for the price this pedal is worth it 100%

Certainly no substitute for the SY-1 or synth 9.
Good:-Small size makes it pedal board friendly-High and low cut filters-Mix knob-Arpeggiator-Trumpet, organ, and pad sound ok-Ability to save settings is cool and necessary-Less expensive way to try synth pedals-Interesting weird sounds-Polyphonic-Tracks very well-ok if you only need it as a gimmick.Bad:-Huge volume spikes-no volume knob-would benefit from a build in compressor like EHX 9 series pedals to level out the volume. Of course you could put one after.-Most tones are unusable In most normal types of music.-arpeggiator does one pattern and it gets annoying in under 5 minutes.-The tones are ok but not great. They sound pretty bad if not mixed it’s dry signal. I found myself adding just a hint of the effect because they quickly become unpleasant.- I found 3/7 tones useable. The others were too extreme and unpleasant and even blending them in just a bit didn’t sound great.-200ma power requirement. That’s a lot for a little pedal. Not a big deal, but it’s a consideration-would be nice if it had build in effects like chorus, vibrato, tremolo like other synth pedals because it sounds very dry without, I would have been happier with fewer synth sounds if they made them better and offered modulation effects.-narrow range of depth adjustment when it came to the LFO’s they are simply too loud and over power your dry signal. Conclusion: it’s about the same cost as the EHX mono synth and that offer many more features but is this stereophonic. It’s about half the price of the ehx synth 9 or boss sy-9 so it might be worth saving up for a better synth pedal if you really like to experiment with synth sounds. The sound quality just isn’t really great and I can’t see many pros using this. If I was a kid or just getting into music I would love how crazy and weird it is. Not a bad pedal, not a great pedal but at the price point it is too close to its far superior competitors.
