For almost a month a dear friend of mine was severely handicapped unable to prepare for meetings or make a comment. She was waiting for her next pay period so I offered to purchase one for her and she could pay me back when she had the funds. When I delivered it to her hears what she said "the magnifer works just great, I'm celebrating, thank you, thank you." Which made me extremely happy 😁

I have advanced AMD with severe central vision loss, This SnarLux magnifier is indispensible to me. Although it doesn't make reading easy for me, it does make it possible! I use it at home to see controls on kitchen appliances, reading important peices of mail, reading text messages on my phone and countless other things. It makes it possible to find expiration dates on food products, sizes and prices when shopping for clothes, etc. Basically it allows me to be more independant. Over the past 8 years I have purchased 3 of these. The first 2 were purchased from another low vision company. Unfortunately I lost one after several years of use, and another needed some repair long after the warranty had expired. I was thrilled to find this seller on Amazon and ordered one from them. It arrived within a few days. I did need to call the seller's place dof business about a small issue and found the customer service department professional and able to address the problem quickly. I have just ordered a second SmartLux so I can keep one in my purse, and one at home!

My 88 year old father suffers from macular degeneration in both eyes and is close to being legally blind. This is an expensive purchase but to have my dad be able to see a menu or a card, is worth the investment. He relies on this so much that he feels lost without it. He also feels like he still has some independence as he doesn’t need my help ordering something as simple as a meal.

The item is incredible for our person with extremely limited vision like macular degeneration. To bad I can't make it a 10 star.

Father is 98 and can hardly see, due to macular degeneration and glaucoma. This digital magnifier does what standard magnifying glasses cannot! He doesn't like the price, but didn't think twice about buying a second one to conveniently have in a another room of his apartment.

I ordered the first new reader and had to return when it did not work upon charging the battery. I took the reader to a electronics store and they advised returning to Eschenbach. Thinking the reader was a fluke with an old battery, I ordered a duplicate, but right out of the box and after charging the battery, it again didn't work. So frustrating when my mom needs a reader asap. At least, Eschenbach is receptive to refunding my cost.

Did not last for even 2 years can you tell me a battery number for it

MY WIFE HAS RP.SHE NEEDS TOOLS LIKE THIS ,GOVERMENT TOOK FUNDING AWAY,WE HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET, SHE IS ON DISABILITY,ME ON SSI, WE HAVE A HARD ENOUGH TIME TRYING TO KEEP OUR HEADS OUT OF WATER,OUR GOVERMENT SUCKS,THE ILLEAGLES GET BETTER TREATMENT THAN RED BLOODED AMERICANS.
