Fantastic fan: low noise, multiple speed, variable light, really moves air!
This took me about 2 hours to install. I replaced a 30 year old brass and glass unit, so wiring and fan box 'kind of' already there. I replaced the 'ball cage' to the new one that came with the fan - it looked more robust anyway. I also went with a longer downrod for our sloped ceiling. The wiring took a bit longer than expected, but that was due to challenges from existing fan wiring. However, after sorting thru that, fan blinked upon start up and we were good to go. My blades were balanced, so no additional work there. I ran on high (speed 6) for 10 minutes and didn't discern any wobble whatsoever.Even on low speed, this moves a lot of air, the light can get very bright. All in all, I (and the wife - most importantly :) ) are very happy with this upgrade!

Great fan but customer service deserves 6 stars!
Perfect!I love this Aire Minka Heirloom Dyno XL fan. It is easy to install, extremely quiet, and the air flow is excellent. I have several Aire Minka fans throughout my house and this one is my favorite. I have always been happy with the quality, the ease of use and the amount of air the fan generates. It has six settings and can also be reversed which helps circulate heat during fall and winter months. Although I really don’t use the WiFi feature it is a nice feature to have. The only issue I had was one of the fan blades was warped and caused some wobbling and I have to say the vendor, Shoppers Lighting had some of the best customer service I have ever encountered. I was able to get the part number from Minka who told me I would have to go to the seller to get a replacement and I have to say I wasn’t too happy about it because I thought okay I am getting the runaround around but I called Shoppers Lighting and spoke to the representative. Not only was she professional but she ordered the part and within 3 days I not only had one fan blade but all five. Kudos to both Minka and Shoppers Lighting, but especially Shoppers Lighting, great great service. I will definitely consider ordering lighting from this company again.Very very happy with the fan and the service.

High quality fan
I have had Minka fans for over 30 years and they are by-far one of the best fans on the market. High quality, clean design and QUIET!

Love the Fan
Took a long time to finally pick out a fan that was the right one. This one works well and looks great in our living area. Would recommend.

I wanted to love this fan!
I purchased and installed this fan 2 years ago. The install process was easy enough until I ran into balancing issue after the install was complete. I've installed 12 or so ceiling fans over the years and have never had such a challenging time balancing a fan until this one. I finally got it balanced "good enough" for the fan speed I expected to use the most, #4. The fan worked well for a month or so, then a steady click, click, click noise developed at #4, but went away at #3. So, not having the time or energy to send the fan back and get a replacement, I settled on speed #3. After a few months, speed #3 spewed out a low- pitched grinding motor sound. So I moved to speed #2 and that's where it's been for the past year. Now after several poor nights of sleep, I'm frustrated once again by the fact that a $300+ fan can only be operated at a fraction of the total speed it's supposed to operate at. Another issue with the fan - the light can be turned on with the remote control, but the switch on remote control will not turn the light off. By continuously pushing and releasing buttons, sometimes after 10 minutes, the light finally turns off. We just don't turn it on at all now. (I made the dreadful, though recognizably first-world mistake, of accidentally turning on the light instead of the fan in the middle of the night, like 2:30am, and couldn't get the light to turn off). Like I said in the title, I really want to love this fan, but I cannot recommend it.

Great fans for almost 3 years...
I was really happy to get a pair of these fans in Nov 2021 to replace 2 very dated fans. Installation was fairly easy and they looked great. I was impressed with the absolutely silent operation at all speeds and the amount of air moving at 4-6 without noise (except the wind) or wobbling. The remote control is a mediocre at best. Too bulky, too hard to adjust the light brightness up or down, it should be like an apple tv or fire stick remote. The app is much better for sure. Anyway, after 2.5 years, both fans have started to make super annoying clicking sounds at speeds 2 & 3, the ones we use 99% of the time. It's almost like the old fans when the pull chain slapped against the light globe. This is irritating in the family room and almost intolerable in the bedroom. The only option is to run it on Speed 1 which does nothing or 5-6 which is just too much. Very disappointed that they are both doing this. It started right around the same time with each one also. I have to go with 3 stars because this "failure" in such a short time is unacceptable to me.

Great air flow. Beautiful to look at. Cost effective.
I purchased two of these 60" fans to update my older Hunter fans and to increase airflow in the family room and bedroom. The fans were super easy to install. Love that they are smart fans and now I can yell at Google to turn the fan and/or lights on and off. I am a super light sleeper. After day two, I began hearing this irritating clicking noise coming from the fan in the bedroom. At first it was only at speed 4, then I noticed it at speed 3, so then I did a little research. FYI I am a single gal with no electrical experience - but love solving problems. So, at first I thought it might be a balance issue, but in my case, it wasn't. I first tightened all of the screws that hold the fan blades onto the fan. Then, I lifted the thing called the "coupling cover". It just slides up and no tools are necessary. Then I noticed a thing that they call a "lock pin" and a "hitch pin". I noticed that the screw was hitting the metal of the part that they call the "downrod". So I went to my bathroom and got a few regular cotton balls that I use to remove nail polish. I wrapped them around both sides of the pins. I tried the fan again at speed five. Absolutely zero noise. Hope this helps a few folks resolve the clicking sound mystery. Good luck everyone!

Great fan
Was a little worried about the brightness but these fans are impressive, plenty bright. They move a lot of are and very quiet.

Quiet, efficient and cost effective - love this fan!
One of my better purchases - got rid of our central air conditioner and now only using the fan. Very pleased on how well the rooms stay relatively cooler - breeze is a bonus. Very inexpensive to run as it's a DC motor - wish I would have thought of this before.
