I have tried a few of these under large rugs in the past and didn’t find them to be much help in keeping the rug from moving, especially with the dog who loves to chase toys and slide on them! But this one seems to actually do the job! Not too thick to make the rug bulky or sit higher as a trip hazard, but still provides a bit of cushion under foot. Easy to cut to fit. No weird smell. Will definitely be buying another for my family room!

This made my cheap rug feel like a luxurious rug. The only down side is the top rug keeps slipping a little bit off the pad, making the pad show. I just used Velcro tape on both ends of the rug and pad and no longer had the problem. I would definitely buy again.

Bought this for an inexpensive rug I bought at Costco. It holds the rug in place better than the web-like rug grippers. It isn’t as “cushy” as I might like, but I would still recommend it.

My floors are wooden and my rugs shift around especially the large one in my living room. This doesn't move! It holds my rug in place and provides the right amount of cushion under my feet. Get it! It's worth every penny.

Purchased for a runner in a high traffic space. Excellent thickness (cushion), and stays in place. No smell, accurate size (helped us realize our rug wasn’t actually 2 ft wide (eyeroll..lol). This rug pad is worth 5 stars!

I bought this for a smaller rug that gets a lot of foot traffic. It keeps us from breaking our necks. It does have to be realigned from time to time but it really has kept us from slipping 100 percent of the time.

I’m not great at remembering to write reviews even though I rely on them myself, but this was a superb purchase. My rug is not moving a centimetre even with only light furniture and cats running back and forth over it. And the rug feels great with the extra cushion — this pad is perfectly suitable for even a high pile rug on a hard floor.I hate spending $$ on something that’s going to be hidden under a rug and have relied on discount solutions (the little sticky netting-type pads), but this all-around rug pad is a must-have to complete the overall effect if you don’t want your rug slipping, edges curling etc.

I used this product to secure 2 carpets that are 3x5 and 4x6 on a wood floor. I have tried every underpad on the market, with no success. But this underpad did the job!The 2 sided construction is brilliant. Not only does the rubber side attach firmly to the wood floor, but the felt side also attaches to the underside of the carpets. The underpads are not bulky and are very easy to trim to size. This is an excellent product that surpassed my expectations and I would definitely recommend it.

I think this would be best under a rug that is already held in place by furniture or other items. I used this for a hallway runner with heavy traffic and it did not stay in place - I had to put another layer of a different product underneath. It does add more softness under the feet though!
