Fit Perfectly
Ordered this for my Poulan PP4218AVX. Was a little concerned about reports of the linkage being too long but had no fit or clearance problems with the carb. Required some minor adjustment of high and low speed jets but saw now appears to run perfectly. As I just installed it today I have no opinion about how long the carb will last but initial impression is that it functions perfectly!

Not fit for PR4218, but slight change makes it work!
Listen, if you’re trying to change out the Poulan PR4218 carb, this kit will NOT fit out of the box! HOWEVER, slight change to the throttle will make it work. Here’s the trick:1) take the throttle body out of the main carb (held by 2 small screws), then pop the retaining clip on the valve rod end. Unbolt the valve plate from the rod, then put it in the OLD throttle body (all sets reversed).2) OR, you can cut the NEW throttle body from the plate (cutting tool required), and make sure it fits the curve of old plastic piece.I went with the option 1) and it works fine! Best of luck!

The carburetor fit great and it came with everything to install it. I couldn't as for more.

Worked great on my poulan
Works great easy install. Replacement of the old fuel lines is hard. But that is the fault the saw manufacturer. Every time I do it I cuss out the saw manufacturer. That aside the new carburetor is great.

Decent carb but older design
This replacement carburetor is a copy of an older design that has linkage style secondary venturi where the present saws use a plastic lever to actuate it. After shortening the linkage and some other minor adjustments it runs fine.

This part worked great for my poulin p3314 chainsaw. No modifications for necessary and it worked right away.

Buy OEM
About 3or four carbs in 20 will work with some tuning but next day same carb is all over the map. This applies to all small engine carbs regardless of seller and make of machine. Save frustration and spend $100 and get OEM.
