Amazon recently lowered the price of this item by at least 50% and even made it available via their Subscribe and Save program. This makes this item a much better value, as it was running around over $8 per package.Many will complain that the pretzels in this big, plastic jar are cracked and in pieces. So what. At first, I, too, thought this was a problem, and I even thought of complaining to Amazon and offering to send it back. However, I soon realized that it's actually a GOOD thing that many of the pretzels are in smaller pieces. First, it makes them easier to eat. Seriously—if you grab a complete pretzel, as soon as you bite into it, it cracks into several pieces anyway and gets its crumbs all over the place. You've now got a mess on your hands (or at least your pants or crotch and chair, etc.). Secondly, by eating just pieces of the pretzel, one can more easily pop a cracked piece or two into one's mouth and munch away. Third, less salt falls off the pretzel when the pieces you're eating are not full size. Regardless, you're still getting the same number and net weight of pretzel.These also taste good. In fact, I like them better than store bought Snyder's Sour Dough hard pretzels. I also like the fact that while they're salted, they are in no way too salty. They're just right, if you ask me.All in all, a good product that is a good buy!

These are my favorite...old fashioned HARD pretzels. I am flabbergasted that so many reviewers complained about the pretzels being mostly broken! If buyers would read the WHOLE DESCRIPTION instead of just looking at the pretty picture, they would see that it says "BROKEN" right in the description! You are going to break them when you eat them anyway, so why is that such a big problem? Please notice that the 4-pound bottle is only a few cents more than the 1-1/4 pound bottle....that is because they are BROKEN!!! These are extremely tasty, delicious and a great price deal! Just read the description!

I love big hard pretzels and can't find them in grocery stores. These are perfect but break up in shipping. The parts are great so I will reorder. Came immediately.

The pretzels were crushed. Not broken. Crushed. That's how I felt. Someone should wake up in the shipping department. If Uncle Jerry can pack bags in plastic and have the pretzels hold up, Utz should be able to do the same especially considering the pretzels are in plastic containers. Also the price was more than I've ever spent for pretzels, $17.88. I love pretzels, I always have so I was genuinely disappointed. When I was in NY they had a Farmer's Market on 14th Street in the park. For two dollars you could buy a huge bag of broken (not crushed) pretzels. Ah, that was ages ago, ages and ages. Also, I thought there wasn't enough salt but that's something I could live with.

Having grown-up eating Pennsylvania pretzels, I get disgusted with what is offered on the West Coast. Utz comes very close to the pretzels I remember from my childhood. And I actually like them when they're broken up in small pieces so I don't care if they arrive broken.

I've ordered the Bite-Size Nuggets Pretzels with Classic Sourdough Flavor 52 oz. Barrel"Perfectly Salted" pretzels multiple times and loved them. The best part of any pretzel is the perfect amount of salt.My last order was for 2 knowing how much I enjoy them. The first Barrel was perfect as usual, but the second barrel tasted off. It was sealed and hissed when I opened the seal. It wasn't until several days later that I realized ALL the salt had fallen off every single pretzel bite in the barrel! Not a spec of salt on any piece but plenty of loose salt in the bottom of the barrel. :(Hence 2 stars removed for failed quality control.

These are my favorite 🥨 snack. I love these things. Always have. A big barrel of them won't last me long. My husband liked them too, especially during a ball game. But then UTZ products are the best anyway.

Very crunchy, fresh, great for snacking on something savory.

Great to have a big container of these delicious pretzels!
