Great inspiration.
This book is hugely inspiring. I ordered it to push myself to do more outdoor drawing and painting. I usually paint landscapes or woodland scenes. It inspired me to go out and draw the buildings and see them in a different way. I fell in love with the color choice chapters and how they are used.

Handy little book
Handy little book when you need a quick reference for drawing and coloring. Good stuffs and info all in one book. Like many ppl said pages are cumbersome to turn and texts are too small. What do expect from a book with 256 pages.

Chock full of fun and informative information
Three different artists write up and show illustrated examples of approaches to sketching. In particular, I love the color exercises by Shari Blaukopf. Do not just read the book -- try out the ideas.

What A Wonderful Reaource
Great book for anyone seeking advice on methods, techniques and ideas for painting the urban landscape in watercolor. Lots of samples, addresses some of the most difficult challenges in perspective and offers a ‘one-stop’ reference for artists in this genre.

Publisher’s binding choice incredibly bad
I was really looking forward to this book, but the glued binding is absolutely HIDEOUS and renders the book marginally useful. Some pictures and content near the center fold line can’t even be read. I haven’t yet had time to enjoy the content since I am still trying to “break in” the backing enough to even read this. I would recommend spending extra money to buy the individual books instead of this compilation volume. A sewn or ring binding would have made a huge difference.

So disappointed in this
I was so excited to find this book was part of the buy 2 get 3 sale. These series of books come recommended by artists like Teoh Yi Chie for urban sketching. The problem however is this book is so tiny. Perhaps they wanted to keep them uniform in size with the other books in the series. But that doesn't work because this is a thicker book. So keeping it this small but so thick makes it ackward. Besides the fact the print is tiny and so are the pictures. For the price it seems they could have increased the dimensions and this would have been perfect. No one is taking a book this size on a plein air adventure anyways.I also think in this day of recognizing diversity that art book printers in particular would understand that many artists have vision issues. It seems there is an idea that if you draw (esp) your vision must be perfect. Many regular size books have ridiculously small print too. Even slight changes to book size and print size would make a world of difference.

Spedizione veloce.

A treasure of good advice
I am an urban sketcher but quite new to the idea. It is immense fun and here it’s like being out with a group and getting cracking advice. There is a top tip on every page - usually more. We all bring different ideas and techniques to the party and this is a fun and inspiring addition to this excellent series.
