I LOVE THESE!!!
After I had my thyroid removed, since the scar was in such a visible area, I wanted to use a scar treatment to help the scar go away quicker. I tried several other scar treatments (gels, creams, etc.), but this one was my favorite. The gels/creams that I tried would say that they would dry on the skin a few minutes after application, but in my opinion, the skin always stayed a little "tacky" afterwards. So these silicone sheets were great.First of all, due to the size of my scar, I was able to cut these sheets horizontally and get 2 uses out of one sheet. The adhesive held great, and I wasn't left with a sticky feeling like with the gels/creams. After daily use and washing, the adhesive is going to lose it's ability to adhere well after a few weeks. But I also bought some cloth surgical tape (3M Medipore H Soft Cloth Surgical Tape - 2" wide). So for example, during the day if I was out and about, I would use a newer sheet that adhered well. The color of the sheet is a beige skin tone, so it wasn't very noticeable. But then at night when I was at home or in bed, I would use one of the sheets that had lots it's adhesive quality, and I would put a little strip of the cloth tape over it to hold it down. Now just FYI, if you sweat a lot, then these silicone sheets WILL slide off. They have to be used on clean dry skin. So if sweating is a problem for you, then you'll either need to look at one of the gel/cream options, or you'll need to use these sheets with some surgical tape. These silicone sheets just do not like sweaty skin.Scars don't go away overnight though. I used them daily (pretty much 24/7) for 6 months after my thyroid was removed, and I was very happy with the results. And I've continued to use them for another 6 months (mainly at night). So after a year of use, the scar is in great shape. The redness is gone, and it's mostly flattened out with the skin around it. I'd like to say that the scar has completely disappeared, but I'm not sure scars ever go away completely. But unless I bring it's attention to someone, it's pretty much not noticeable until I point it out to somebody. So these silicone sheets are GREAT in my opinion. They're comfortable, they're not messy, and they work!

Very satisfied
I have been using these strips for almost a year now off and on. I had roughly 10 surgeries on my neck area in the last year, major scarring to my right wrist up to elbow, trach scarring, total neck dissection scars, and long scar from knee to hip. Due to tongue cancer (recurrent and no risk factors) and reconstruction with tissue from other areas to form tongue "flap". After searching for a help with the scars on the internet, drugstores, and asking my plastic surgeon at follow-up, it was apparent that you must use silicone to heal scars. I thought it would be very expensive. To my delight, I came across these strips on Amazon and think the price is reasonable. Most importantly, they work better than I could have hoped for. Friends noticed some improvement after about a week to 10 days without my mentioning anything. After first surgery, scar on wrist really depressed me due to its size, tissue loss, raised red edges, etc. Scar Away helped reduce the redness in a short period of time and the half of scar that was not as wide is almost unnoticeable now. It is smooth, not raised, no redness, and becoming more flesh colored than white in the less affected area. The larger area is almost completely flesh colored now. There is still one side that is raised and red on half of incision line, but it is also where they started (as explained to me by surgeon) and is how these scars are. This area is still 300% overall better, flatter than before Scar Away. The biggest drawback I have is that when it is humid they tend to come off. And I could use much longer, wider strips; but I am more of an extreme case than most. I have never been paid, given free samples from anyone, or contacted in any way by manufacturing company. This is my honest testimony because I want people with similar conditions to feel comfortable spending money on this product. Right now is not the ideal time to spend extra money but husband and I agreed it is money well spent now to avoid worse outcome and cost later. Today I purchased a silicone gel to use also due to number of scars, recommended by skin/plastic surgeon. Hoping it works at least as well as strips as I won't have to worry about them in humidity. Made by same company, all silicone gel, pricey though compared with strips. For smaller scars, strips are the way to go. Hope this helps you. Good luck!

Very sticky
My doctor recommended these silicone sheets to help minimize a scar after surgery, and I’m really glad I gave them a try. The sheets are quite large, which I found really convenient because I could cut them to the exact size I needed. Even though my scar isn’t in a visible spot, I still wanted to improve its appearance, and for the time I used these, I definitely saw a difference. The texture of my scar became much smoother, flatter, and overall less noticeable.I didn’t use them as consistently as someone with a more exposed scar might, but even with occasional use, I saw results. I can only imagine how much more effective they would be with regular application. The adhesive worked well for me—it stayed in place without irritating my skin, which I appreciated. I also liked that the material felt soft and flexible, so it was comfortable to wear, even for longer periods. The only downside I found is that if the sheet accidentally folds onto itself and the sticky sides touch, it’s impossible to just pull them apart and straighten it back out and reapply. You really have to wash it to reactivate the adhesive, which can be a little annoying if it happens when you're in a hurry. That said, the adhesive does last a long time with proper care, so as long as I handled the sheets carefully, it wasn’t a huge issue.
