You never know just how dirty a paper filter is until you try one of these.
With paper filters, you never really know just how dirty they are until you replace them with this type of filter. Wow. Have an old 1997 Dodge Ram that we really don't drive very much and I really hadn't planned to put any money into but it was hesitating and had a problem idling in cold weather. Even when warm, it had no power and struggled to keep any acceleration. But $20 for this filter, and a new $20 IAC Valve (granted the IAC took care of the idling and start up sluggishness), that old truck came alive once again!!! Have these in all of our vehicles but this truck was the last one to join the parade. I'm embarrassed that I didn't feel she was worth $20. Shame on me.

Still a great filter after 2 YEARS!
This is a very nice air filter. I have not noticed any difference in mileage, but I also don’t pay attention close enough. If there is a difference it’s quite small. The noticeable difference to me was all in the torque. You can feel a noticeable shift in power and it pairs nicely with an intake upgrade for a 1999 Cherokee. I haven’t decided if I will re-use, If I do I will update this!Update Spring 2021 - I’ve had this for almost 2 years! I cleaned it and reused it after the first year. I noticed it was dirty around a month ago so I cleaned it again. I’ll eventually get around to grabbing another one from here, but for now it’s working perfectly to this day!

Power Boost/Easy Installation/Mileage Increase
As the headline says: There was an increase in power. The filter was easy, in my vehicle, to install. The mileage has been a little better/same. Two reasons the mileage isn’t greater: I’ve only had the truck a couple of months. I’m getting used to it. With more power I have more confidence to push it. It’s fun!I will be modifying the exhaust. Flow Master muffler and larger mandrel bent tail pipe. Intake/Exhaust improvements often work well together. If everybody does a little bit a lot will get done.

Lets Dirt In
In for 1 offroad trip. Definite signs of dust/dirt getting by and through filter. It seems like it needs a larger and squishier sealing surface. I am going to look for a better alternative.

Works as it should
Fits nice and snug in my 2000 4.7 durango. My old air filter was so bad I definitely noticed a boost in mpg. But I see a lot of people thinking this will boost mpg or performance over a regular air filter and that is wrong. The reason to buy this filter is so that you can clean it and re-use it and not have to spend money on an air filter anymore that's it.

No noticeable increases in MPG or airflow. I know ...
No noticeable increases in MPG or airflow. I know it's not a cold air intake or ram intake, but in my 2002 Durango I haven't personally noticed any difference.

Considering the dealer charges almost the same price for a cheap paper filter I'm going to buy a few more of these and just toss
This is similar in nature to the expensive "K" filter and a much lower price. Considering the dealer charges almost the same price for a cheap paper filter I'm going to buy a few more of these and just toss them out when they get really dirty or maybe change the filter with a new one while i clean the spare and have it ready to go. Money well spent if you do your own auto maintenance.

So far so good
Easy install in place of OEM filter. If you have a cold air pipe already that uses the factory box you will feel a slight mid range gain. Will post an update on fuel mileage once it's been in for a couple weeks. Despite other reviews from this brand this one came labelled Spectre in original packaging.

Nice upgrade
Installed on my Jeep XJ and my motor likes the amount of air in now gets. Perfect fit in original bowl and costs a lot less than adding a cold air intake.
