I used a rectangular steel rod (1/4 in) purchased from Home Depot to support the basket over the hot grill.The roasted coffee beans made great coffee.

It works perfectly with an air fryer. Chicken thighs, come out consistently cooked and crisps. The problem is the cage is very hard to clean. My method is I soak it in a bucket of water for a few days just to rinse off most of the stuff that is stuck to it.

So the dimensions noted are the overall size which includes the rotisserie mounting lugs. The actual rotisserie drum size is 6.75" x 4.5". I really wanted this to be 8" cylinder length, but... Otherwise the materials used to construct this are much better than expected as it is very sturdy and not flimsy as expected. There are not any screws, only welds on the latch, hinges and mounting lugs. I've never used a closure latch like this and was skeptical, but it too seems sturdy. A pretty clever design uses well formed ends rolled over that hold everything together tightly. The pictures only give a glimpse of the inner mixing shelf that helps mix and rotate the contents. The mixing shelf is approx. 1" x 5.75" and runs 85% of the inside length so leaves an open gap at each end. Coffee beans lodge between the shelf end and the end caps and burn which I have to pick out and throw away, but overall I am pleased with this roasting drum. It suits my first experience of roasting coffee beans. I've only roasted .25 lb. at a time so far during this trial period, but .5 lb. should not be a problem.

This is an example of getting what you pay for. I saw the reviews of the latch popping off because it was poorly spot welded on the drum. So, once my popped off I carefully wired it back on with some thin gauge stainless steel wire. I've used it a dozen times since fixed the latch I it appears to be sturdy enough for what I'm using it for.

This worked perfectly however I did have to modify it a little bit. I have a PowerXL Vortex Air Fryer Pro Plus 10qt and I just bent the tabs back flush with the unit, I know some people remove the tabs but I just bent them back flush you'll see in the photos, insert the rotisserie rod and set it in your unit just make sure it's locked in place so it will rotate. I am very happy with this rotating basket..

I purchased three of these for a project, and on one of drums, the rode holes are offset, and I am unable to thread the rod through. Unfortunately, I had to special order the 6mm spit rod and when it arrived and noticed the offset. Unfortunately, I missed the 30 day return window for this item...I marked down my review due to one out of three drums were defective and only a minimal 30 return window.

I do like this, worked well, cleaned up nicely. Just felt it was a little spendy! So that's why I gave four stars, I think it could be priced a little better ~ but it is what it is.

Love the size of the unit not too big and not too small, easy to open and it comes with thumb screws to tighten it to rod so it doesn't slide side to side.

I use this all the time. It is the only way to cook fries... fresh or frozen. It is big enough to put in cubed potatoes baby carrots celery and sliced up sausage. Cook for 25 minutes on rotisserie and and you have avmeal for you and spouse.

Works as well as I expected, it's easy to clean up after it's cool (of course. Lol.) Can be a little tricky to open when it's hot to remove your food, but it's not a problem if you think ahead.

Trommel ziet er mooi uit. Hij lijkt me ook stevig genoeg. Trommeldeurtje sluit met een buigzame lip. Het openen moet je denk ik met gevoel doen. Trek niet te hard aan de lip dat is niet nodig. (Ik zag een review van iemand bij wie de lip afbrak.) Als de oven werkt is hij niet overluid. Fijn ding om bv. uitjes in te bakken, die worden mooi egaal bruin en smaken prima. Ook mooi model om te zien, vierkant en compact, en handig is het grote venster. De zwarte kleur van de kast vind ik jammer, enige minpunt. Dat zwarte valt uit de toon in mijn keuken. Heb de voorkant van de kast wit gespoten met radiatorlak; past nu beter op zijn plek. (Knoppen had ik goed afgeplakt.) Vertrouw erop dat de oven zijn werk goef blijft doen, eventuele retourzending zit er niet meer in natuurlijk.
