We first bought the plain Ribbon Edge flatware in 1980, loved it and still use it daily. It is lovely, durable, well-balanced and just about everything I ever wanted in flatware. Over the years a few pieces snuck away so I ordered two more sets and two additional teaspoons in frosted, not realizing that plain may still be available. It is still everything I want in flatware. The original pieces are a bit scratched so that just blends in with the frosted. The new pieces a tad bit heavier and bigger than the old. Doesn't matter. The knives are better in that they are all one piece instead of two pieces as the original ones are. There is no way you can go wrong by purchasing this flatware.

I have had this dinnerware for over 15 years. My recent purchase was to add two more settings. This flatware is extremely durable -- 15 years of dishwasher abuse barely change the look -- you can only tell by comparing it side by side with a brand new set from the box and even then the difference is minimal. The knives stay sharp, nothing bends despite using spoons to carve out rock hard ice cream. The comfort is far superior to the majority of other offerings and the look is timeless. Most of my tastes changed to some degree in these 15 years but this flatware is still my favorite.

The ribbon detail is beautiful & not ornate, which I like. It’s classic and heavy weighted. It’s my favorite set of dinnerware. It’s worth the investment.

We've decided to not hold onto these nice flatware but to take them out for more regular use with guests. The pattern is nice but not overly ornate or formal. Just right for group gatherings.

Just awful! Terribly cheap quality. I returned the sets.

Lovely, and they blend in very well with my original Ribbon Edge.
