I first used these scalpels and blades 50 years ago. The quality is just as good as they were then, probably even better.Don’t be fobbed off by cheaper copies. These are consistently well made, so that the blades always fit well, and are yet easy to remove, and to replace. The design means they are really sharp for accurate cuts. They are easy to use, with good grip. Easy to keep clean. I would recommend them every time.

This handle accepted the blade as easy as if the two had been made for each other, without any force at all. This was a huge improvement on another make of handle I bought a few days earlier that broke under the force I had to use to get the blade half on. I recommend this one.

Sturdiest blade holder around. Wouldn't use anything else - only bought to replace one I had for several years but sadly lost.

I needed a second scalpel for my daughter's crafting so bought a Swan Morton, as my original one is now over 40 years old and still going strong. So much better than a disposable craft knife.

No instructions! Took me a while to work out how to add a blade. Initially I inserted it the wrong way round (back to front) and so I struggled to remove the blade. Very very sharp
