Great purchase for him.
Was sorta questioning the purchase of this product but once it came in I did not regret it. He loves the knife. He uses it almost daily. The little screw heads haven’t fallen out like I thought so the magnet is pretty strong. It came fairly sharpened but he likes to keep them sharp so he got it sharper. Super easy to use and absolutely worth every penny.

One of the best EDCs for the $
Probably one of the best knives money can buy. The blade is fine quality and good for an everyday carry, where this little guy excels is the screwdriver/bottle opener/standard bit design. I’ve whipped this knife out and fixed things on the fly and I’ve had other guy friends go “Oh shoot, I need one of those.” Then they actually go buy it. I know like 4 other guys that have this knife and I’ve purchased 2 for myself already. Thinking of cerakoting one in flat dark earth, that would be cool. Kershaw if you’re listening, more colors!

Amazing Knife, Quality and Convenient
Kershaw does not disappoint once again! Excellent blade quality, the mechanism is very smooth and clean to open and close. So pumped to find a pocket knife with a 1/4 driver and 4 bit holders. You can store any type of small drill bits in the handle and it is no larger than any other folding knife on the market, tens of times I've found myself needing to remove just one screw even to give accurate estimates, this little guy eliminates tons of problems I run into just by having it in my pocket

Awesome!
ConsI'll get the bad out of the way first. I was always warned that the bit driver on the screwdriver was prone to falling off and it finally happened to mine after 3 years of daily carry. Luckily, the way it's made with a square shank fitting into a square hole I think super glue might be enough to fix it. The square metal shapes mated to each other should handle any compression and torsion that it would experience while screwing. However, superglue doesn't handle tension too well which means I don't think it will hold up using it as a prybar. That's a huge bummer because a knife with it's own prybar is super handy since if you carry a knife everywhere you occasionally find yourself using it to pry something open which is a good way to break the tip of your knife off. It's a little bigger and thicker than your average pocket knife. Whipping it out in public can feel a little awkward since it's so large. And I started carrying a very tiny knife on my keychain in addition to this because it's too big for some smaller more delicate tasks. But despite this and despite the fact I have small hands the ergonomics are still great.I don't love the liner lock. In my experience of daily carrying a pocket knife for 15 years you are most likely to cut yourself with a liner lock. They have the highest probability of failing on you. I used to have a rule to never buy a knife with a liner lock but I love this knife so much I made an exception. If I am doing something stabby with this knife I always double check that the liner lock is extra secure. Luckily I've never had an incident and I believe the lock has gotten better over time with use.ProsBut overall I really love this thing. I've always carried a knife, and now always having a screwdriver on me without having to carry an extra tool is so handy. And there are no compromises between the tools. When using the knife it feels like using a normal pocket knife, the ergonomics are fine. I feel little to no hotspots when i squeeze it tightly. And all of that goes for the screwdriver as well, it's just your every day screwdriver, not some awkward multi tool kind of thing. And the fact that it holds 4, 1/4" bits is great. You can swap them for other bits as well. I find it amazing that it's such a good knife, and such a good screw driver without them interfering with each other in any way.And I love the bottle opener. I used to carry one on my keychain but I stopped when I get this because it's nice and large and I can pull it out of my pocket faster than I can get to my keychain.

Excellent utility everyday-carry knife/multitool
I'll admit the Kershaw Select Fire knife/multi-tool is a little bulkier and heavier than I was expecting, but I've gotten used to it quickly. The blade out-of-the-box is wicked-sharp and seems to be holding an edge well, plus it's of a size big enough for serious cutting. Love how easy it is to open one-handed, and I have very small hands. Plus the bit/screwdriver part is amazingly useful and well-constructed. One thing I like is unlike my other multitool, a Leatherman Wave, which I use for more serious projects, the Select Fire takes standard hex bits. I'm already thinking about exchanging the included smaller Phillips bit for a torx. Even if not, as long as I have the extra bits with me or in my toolbox, I won't have to go hunting for a bit-driver for simple jobs.My previous everyday carry-knife used to be a Leatherman Juice, but honestly besides the knife, the only other tools on it I needed often were the screwdrivers -- and those were a total bear to open, even with regular lubrication. I suspect the joints just get tighter over time, but it's so bad now, I need a screwdriver just to get the Juice's screwdriver bits out.I honestly don't know what the longer-term durability will be for this Kershaw, but the low price (which I got as part of a Lightning Deal here, along with free Prime shipping) simply could not be beat. Even if it only lasts a few years, I'll likely get more daily use out of it than all my other knives and multitools combined.(Update: 1/27/13: The more I've carried this knife, the more indispensable it's become. We moved in the last couple of months, and having this knife with me at all times has been a total life-saver. "Oh, I need a screwdriver to take apart and/or assemble this... no problem!" If I lost it, I'd absolutely buy a replacement ASAP. Oh, and by the way? That slot where the bit-holder fits when closed works well as a bottle opener.)(Update 11/14/14: I still have the same knife, and still carry it every day, usually tucked into the front pocket of my jeans. The blade has needed sharpening a few times over the nearly two years I've owned the Kershaw 1920 Select Fire Multi-Tool, and the bits look just a tad tarnished, probably from perspiration -- but everything still works. By the way, when the hinge is properly lubricated, I have had no trouble at all opening the blade one-handed. The screw driver bits have come in handy more times than I can count, and even the hex bit holder can be used on appropriately sized nuts. Easily the best sub-twenty buck knife I've ever owned and if I ever lose it, I'll buy another. Fortunately, it's never been more than occasionally misplacing it. It's true, I do wish Kershaw had a slightly sturdier model available, and I'd gladly pay more for it if they did. But I've never regretted buying this one.)
