my cleaning lady demands this product, so i buy it fior my home. i well remember using it many decades ago, and i also remember what a suprior product it is.invented by a chemist in 1882. i HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.

Use this on my outdoor bar fridge after getting rust spots. This did a perfect job after a little bit of elbow grease

Works amazingly well. I've used this to clean many "uncleanable" pots and pans with baked on, crusted on, junk. It's my go-to for heavier kitchen cleaning jobs. It does so much for the price you pay and lasts a while too. No bad odors, just be careful breathing in the dust.Here's what I've done with it:-clean and shine the bottom of Revere-ware pots and pans-scour the insides to remove thick gunk, residues, or staining-remove rust or metal stains from wood cutting boards but wetting area, covering with BKF, letting sit for a few minutes and checking. Takes the stains/rings right out, good as new.-clean enameled stovetops. Removes baked on and crusted on food and splatters.-clean and shine faucets-clean and shine stainless steel sinkPut it on more dry for better scrubbing, put it on more wet for better shining or to make a paste to let sit on a tough spot. It's definitely one of my most trusted cleaners, I highly recommend this for your cleaning and kitchen needs.

Though I have a pretty old house, most of the stuff in it was well maintained before I took possession of it. Regardless, I large house means that everything is magnified - 11 sinks, 5 toilets, and some tubs and showers. Combine all of that with the hard water deposits from the municipal water source and you have a problem. With slightly leaky flapper valves, I get fairly serious hard water stains in no time. While CLR has always been a trusty tool in my cleaning kit, it's largely overmatched when dealing with porcelain or ceramic (in my home, anyway - YMMV).For the tougher tasks, I was told to use Bar Keeper's Friend powder. So how is it? Well, the good news is that works... hard water stains/deposits are broken down and removed. Further, there's no surface damage when I use it on stone, porcelain, or ceramic (though, I don't use it on anything else). The bad part is that using this powder feels like punishment. You're essentially grinding a mildly abrasive powder against deposits... and that can be quite a bit of work. Obviously there are more abrasive things you can use, but the trick is not damaging or destroying whatever you are cleaning. This product works, and works well. Recommended.

It seems rather silly to give reviews about a product that has been around for generations, and is such a simple scrub powder. Then, I see folks complain about how hard it is to keep their stainless steel cookware looking its best. THIS is the solution! All my cookware looks like it is either brand new or I never cook. Nothing could be further from the truth. I love to cook healthy food from whole ingredients, in the most healthful manner (I don’t want to end up with any non-stick plastic bits in my food!). The easiest way to clean up after the cooking is done is to add some hot water back into the pan with a couple of drops of dish soap. I bring it back up to heat while taking my silicone spatula (no need to beat it up with metal on metal) to the cooked-on remaining bits and they lift off fairly easily. The final cleaning is to polish it up with the Bar Keepers Friend. I rinse it and dry it with a nice microfiber dish towel and they gleam like sculptural accessories to my kitchen as they hang from my pot rack.

I never even heard of this product until I read about it in reviews for a stainless steel pan set. They say it takes the spots & stains off of the pans. So I bought it for that use. After I bought this, I saw on the container that is works for other things like ceramic. I decided to try it on my white kitchen sink. It had stains from the pots & pans making silver marks everywhere, especially on the sides. The bottom has big spots where the ceramic has actually worn off. I mean, its time to get another new sink.Usually I'd use a comet type cleanser & it would make it look a little better. But lately it hasn't helped much at all.I got out the Bar Keepers friend & gave it a try. I was amazed at how good of a job it did! The stuff isn't grainy like comet cleanser, its more like the consistency of flour. I did have to use some elbow grease but the results are amazing! I can live with this sink a while longer.I didn't get great pictures, but I think that I will post a couple of them. On the 1st one, I had finished the right sink, on the 2nd one they both are done. My lighting is bad, so they look a little oranger than it really is, but you get the idea.Love this stuff!

If u aren’t sure about this product and if it works as advertised, stop wondering. This stuff is AMAZING. I wish I had gotten a before and after picture of my shower. Something in our water turns out shower blue. Toilets blue. Everything blue. It drives me insane. I have tried everything! I used it as explained with a Brillo pad. I left it like a paste for about half an hour and it came right off with very little scrubbing! I am floored. I will never go without this stuff and plan to get more soon as backup. Just buy it. Seriously
