I have several Bosch tools that are of great quality and these are no exception.

They are made for Bosch routers and work perfectly. Exchanging bushings is quick due to the snap-on ring, which can be installed permanently on the router base. The molded plastic case offers a convenient place to keep all bushings organized. The center pin is a must to ensure the centering of the base plate. This set is a good value for the price.

OK, maybe this is a "me" problem. However, I bought this set thinking I would now be able to use my Bosch 1617 EVSPK router with my Porter Cable dovetail jig. Unfortunately, what I did not realize is that the router and the templates won't work without a third accessory, the Bosch Quick Change Template Adapter.I realize I could probably have figured this out but I did not - until I saw the template packaging, which says "for use with Bosch Quick Change Template Adapter". I'd always thought this was an optional accessory for convenience, which I might buy later. I didn't realize it was mandatory.As the router case has a storage spot clearly labeled "template adapter," I do not see why Bosch cannot just throw this $8 piece into the router kit or the template guide kit.Nit-picky, I know. But, I feel as if Bosch had to know these things would be needed and still didn't package them together. It feels kinda like buying a car and finding out the tires are extra.I've now purchased the adapter and have to wait until next weekend to work on those projects I had planned for this weekend.But the tools look like quality pieces...

I bought this for my Bosch router because I just bought a dovetail Jig. The jig came with template guides, but these guides didn't fit my Bosch. The Bosch has the custom easy change thing I'm sure you are all aware of. But this set actually comes with an adapter that allows you to use the standard screw in type guides with the Bosch guide system. So I was pretty happy to find that I was easily able to use my guides that came with my dovetail jig with the adapter and my router. It's not too easy to put the guides in and out of the case, I would give it 4.5 stars if I could because of that. But I'm pretty happy with it.

I purchased the Bosch 1617 EVSTB set (standard and table base) to use with the Bosch Router Table I also got. A good template set is essential for full-spectrum router use.This set has a good range of sizes plus an adapter for screw-in guides.Though you need to buy the Bosch RA1126 Router Templet Guide Adapter to use the set, it's still a good value.The RA1100 Template Guide Adapter fits my old B&D Router Templates, so I have a relatively full set of guides.Yes, the guides are stamped metal, but they should be adequate for the homeowner. For dovetails, I have my B&D guides.

Gotta have this to center your router bushing

This tool component is very simple to install and changing templates is very quick once the guide is attached to the base. I use it all the time for making various joints. The set-up is stable and there is no wobble at all - which makes for accurate cuts and very tight joints. In fact my joints end up so tight I don't really need glue.
