Does great but the title is inaccurate
This works really well, but contrary to the title, it's limited to outputting 1080p at 30fps, which is fine for video conferencing use cases.

Works to turn GoPro Hero 5 into a webcam
Was skeptical at first since it $100 cheaper than other capture cards but works exactly how I wanted it to work. Was able to use my GoPro Hero 5 as a webcam with the addition of a micro HDMI to HDMI and this product. Would probably work with other GoPros. Plug it in, download the driver, and its ready to use. For any video conferencing, just have to select it as the option for your camera.

Good but could be way better
I would have given this device 5 stars but the audio is monophonic and it doesn’t have a 240fps pass through rate. It only goes up to 60fps. The good part is it has no HDCP protection.

works well in general, but doesn't seem to be able to capture 1080p at 60fps
I've been using this thing to capture video from an n64 and haven't had any major problems with it yet. it works on both windows and linux without the need to install drivers or any other software other than something to record the card's video output. using OBS, you'll have to change the video format setting from YUYV to something else or it will only be able to record at horrendously low framerates. I'm not sure if it's due to my setup, but there isn't any option to record 1080p at 60fps under any circumstances, you can only go up to 30. there also isn't any option to go higher than 1080p at all. this isn't problematic for me because I only need to record 720p at 60fps (which it can do) but it could be a huge problem for other people, considering it is a selling point of the device. the only other issue I have encountered is that there is a slight but noticeable audio lag in the recordings. but other than that it's much better than I expected for the low price.

Definite Good Buy
Hello so I purchased this to stream my DJ feed live online and I will say I was very spectacle on this but to my surprise it shows great and I am happy with the purchase. It shows really good on my camera and the stream was in good quality.

Limited Hardware
Due to USB 2.0 limitations, you can't get full-speed video out of this. Inputting 1080p60 video, I get 5fps:$ ffplay /dev/video2Input #0, video4linux2,v4l2, from '/dev/video2':B sq= 0B f=0/0Duration: N/A, start: 4156475.156239, bitrate: 165888 kb/sStream #0:0: Video: rawvideo (YUY2 / 0x32595559), yuyv422, 1920x1080, 165888 kb/s, 5 fps, 5 tbr, 1000k tbn, 1000k tbcIt goes up to 10fps if I downsample the resolution to 720p.However, if you use the mjpeg compressed output, it is fairly decent. I get 1080p30. This comes with artifacts, seems to be especially bad with motion (surprising, didn't think mjpeg cared).$ ffplay -f video4linux2 -video_size 1920x1080 -input_format mjpeg /dev/video2Input #0, video4linux2,v4l2, from '/dev/video2':B sq= 0B f=0/0Duration: N/A, start: 4157702.080052, bitrate: N/AStream #0:0: Video: mjpeg, yuvj422p(pc, bt470bg/unknown/unknown), 1920x1080, 30 fps, 30 tbr, 1000k tbn, 1000k tbc

NOT 1080p 60FPS! Only 30FPS at 1080p
Picture quality has noticeable artifacting and is soft, almost looks like old analog component video. Maximum 1080p @ 30fps, not 60, so useless for my intended purpose of capturing PS4 gameplay. This one's getting returned, 1 star for wasting my time.

It is highly recommended
I have an Elgato capture card.Of course, I kept thinking that this product would not sell so well within this price range.Anyway, I decided to buy it and give it a try.I was really surprised that it actually seemed to work almost at the same level as my Elgato, which was pretty expensive.Anyone worried about buying because of the price need not worry.Just go ahead and buy it. It will cost you. It's a piece of cake.
