Great Replacement Mirror for the Years Listed
Needed a replacement mirror after mine was demolished while parked on a narrow street. I have a 2020, but couldn't find one at the time for this price that was specifically for my model year. This one looks and fits exactly the same so I bought it. I have a base model, so figured there'd be no difference.Well, there is a difference. It's that even the base model F-150s from 2019 on have an ambient temperature sensor located in the passenger side mirror. For me, all it means is that I can't see the outside temp on my radio display, and my check engine is always on. This isn't a massive concern for me, and there are ways to get around it, but I'll just wind up getting the proper mirror for my model year at some point.For the fancier models it can affect air conditioner functionality because there are temp settings and such, where as mine is all manual.All that being said, if you have a '15-'18 XL model, this is a direct replacement and a great mirror, so if you need it, you should buy it.
