Very good for beginners, but just one caveat
First off, I would like to say this kit is actually really really good for the money. I was looking for something that was fairly inexpensive, so I could put together a few videos for my workplace as well as instructional videos for some friends with my iPhone. This does that in spades, a very good carrying case, nothing feels cheap or flimsy in it. Comes with a good microphone and decent light. It was easy to set up for the most part, however, just one thing that I wish came with the kit was at least a small set of instructions to explain certain things. Keep in mind, I'm coming from a 100% newbie into this type of stuff, so, I didn't really have a good idea how stuff works when it came to this. So, here's just a few things I found out:1. The base that mounts the light and microphone doesn't have a cut out in the case, it's in the mesh pocket.2. The light, while decent, doesn't have a ton of run time, so keep that in mind.3. The microphone when plugged in, at least for my iphone 11, didn't have any indication that it was working. The only way I knew is I downloaded a decibel meter to test it. With an iphone 11 (I have no idea about android devices, or other iphone series) the microphone is just plug and play and it works.4. The microphone has two settings on it a bent line and a straight line, which in no way shape or form is described what they do, after some research I can tell you that the the bent line cuts out low frequency, which means that the sound of air conditioner, microwave, ceiling fan, etc. is muted. The straight line means that it will pick up these noises. So bent line reduces ambient noise, straight line picks up all noise.Hopefully this review helps some people out, this is a great product in my opinion, just needs a manual to help explain things to 100% newbies like me when it comes to vlogging and video recording.

Great little beginning vlogger setup.
Bought this while traveling to replace some items I had forgotten, and this is becoming part of my permanent setup. The extension bracket is sturdy and now lives on my extra cold-shoe slot, allowing me to easily expand my setup with bigger lights, mics, or whatever else I may need. The TRRS cable works great (you need a lightning adapter if you don't have an audio jack),. The LED Light, while obviously not the most robust, works great as a small fill light. I do wish I could change the color temperature of the light, but minor complaint. The phone clamp is strong and my phone never slips unlike other clamps I've used, and the hard shell carrying case is perfect for packing when I am traveling.

Solid Starter Kit (Not Amazing for Musicians Looking for Professional Sound Recording)
Great starter kit, especially for basic social media videos. As I am using it as a musician and for posts, the mic is solid but it's not the same as a proper boom or condenser microphone. But it will get the job done. If you're using this for tutorials, meetings, or anything visual - you will likely need to get some extra lighting, as the lighting source on this is workable but not as sharp as a white LED ring light (this lighting has some yellow hues to it). Otherwise, again, solid starter kit for the pricing especially.

Other than the microphone static I like it
So I have 3 issues with this setup, from simply annoying to an actual issue :1. The storage case doesn't have a dedicated spot for the mic/Iight bracket2. The light doesn't last very long (I reccomend carrying a spare)3. The microphone produces a lot of static occasionally. To the point where I'm going to be replacing it.So the microphone has by far been the biggest problem I have with this otherwise nice, travel friendly, setup. I have a brand new android so initially I thought the occasional bunch of static was from the Microphone adapter cable I was using until I replaced it and the static issue continued on unabated. Then I plugged it into my laptop and had the same issue. When there's no static the sound quality is perfect, but the static starts after about 5 minutes of use and is intermittent. For the cost I am not unhappy with this setup on a whole. I have literally been using it every day, indoor and out, and have found that it's very easy to use. I also have very small hands so it's really nice that the tripod handle is very comfortable to hold, not at all heavy, and is quite sturdy. Would I reccomend it to someone looking for a basic phone filming setup? Yes, but not without telling them about the (my) microphone issue first.

Beginner Vlogger
This set was perfect for my son who dabbling in vlogging. He’s able to use it with his phone as well as his Sony ZV1. The mic is an added bonus when using his phone. The light provides great shots in dark areas. Sturdy and easy to use-I definitely recommend.

This was a nice set!
It was a little basic for an experienced blogger but other than that was great! The quality was great and it was lite weight. Sound quality was great also!
