I was looking for a small space chair I could convert to a bed for sleepless nights in the nursery after baby arrives. Originally, I was considered tri-fold floor/gaming chairs, but ultimately decided although they could fit under the crib at 4" deep, only 1/3 as opposed to about 1/2 the depth of a mattress wouldn't cut it. (Our son didn't sleep through the night consistently until 3.5 yrs.) I probably could have put the crib on bed risers and put this chair under it, but opted to leave it out so our son can read bedtime stories to his baby sister with me/dad/both. Our son loves this chair already, and I plan to move it into his room once it is no longer needed in the nursery (reason for purchasing neutral gray color).Given my particular nature and door/entryway/electrical outlet constraints, I had a hard time finding a spot for it in the nursery. After researching online, creating a small conversation/reading nook was the best option.Only problem was it looked off balance because the height of this chair is lower than the height of the glider. Luckily, I had some exercise steps laying around that I had used as a stool for placing our son back in the crib as a newborn (I am only 4'10".) Voila removable chair feet/platform! I may need to buy more exercise steps as a stool for baby girl, but they should be inexpensive and can be purchased used.As far as comfort, I haven't slept on it yet, but like others have said, the cushions are very firm. My husband said the chair was "really uncomfortable". However, he is not a heavy guy and at 36 weeks pregnant and post partum when getting in and out of chairs is tough, firm is a plus for me. Also, I hate waking up on deflating air mattresses so I'll take too firm over too soft. You can always buy a mattress topper to customize to your liking and it may soften over time.6 month update: I removed the exercise steps for stability, and because aesthetics are much less important post partum. Although, the reading nook does give it a cozy welcoming feel. I haven't had any issues with it being too firm. I have slept on it multiple times and so has my mom. She loves the elevated head of it for her night-time acid reflux. She just bought one for my dad who usually sleeps on couch cushions on the floor due to his bad back. However, he is 5'9 so she is exchanging for the 72 or 75" one.

I ordered a pair of these chairs for my professional office as I sometimes end up burning the midnight oil and don't want to have to drive all the way home late at night, especially in bad weather. Now, I get that there's always a caveat with purchasing items online: Colors may appear differently on different monitors. However, I viewed this listing on both my laptop and on a smartphone, and the colors looked the same on both. I chose purple based on the fact that the images here showed me a very deep, nearly black, purple. It was the perfect match for the cute throw blankets and decorative pillows I'd purchased for my office space. The dark purple would have looked great in my office, where I sometimes have clients meet with me. The chairs I received were quite a few shades lighter than what I thought I'd ordered -- almost an "electric" purple, and totally clash with the decorative accents. This color would probably look great in a teen girl's bedroom or in a dorm. Unfortunately, this item is sold on Amazon by the manufacturer which charges return shipping. I don't even want to think about what it would have cost me to ship these two ugly chairs back, so I decided to keep them. They do appear well-made and the foam is very comfortable and dense. It feels like it will hold up well. The chairs are easy to configure and super lightweight and maneuverable. I put mine side by side in a corner and together, look like a tiny, cute (except for the weird color) sofa. On a side note: The packages included scraps of fabric in burgundy/maroon, black, and dark blue. Sadly, any of those would have been better than the icky purple I ordered. Overall, I'd recommend and would buy again, just in a different color. I've added a photo that is an accurate representation of the actual color (top cushion area where the light hits).

This is very well made. It was hard to tell from descriptions online. This one is the same color and well made. We could easily use it for a chair and be fine. Very comfortable. I bought it for my border collie who is particular about what he sleeps on and definitely works for keeping him off the furniture and he loves it! We cover it with a sheet and wash when needed. Very good foam and comfy.

We purchased (2) D&D Futon Furniture Sleeper Chair Folding Beds to use in our camper van.They arrived in good condition. The beds are nice and firm and being able to fold them up and use as a chair was a great bonus.The cover material was good quality and I like the blue color.If I ever needed to purchase a bed for this purpose again, I would buy these.
