Good light, needs different mount for 35mm bars
Light is bright, and has replaceable batteries so you won't have to buy a new light in a couple years when the batteries wear out. Use 18650 button tops, the flat tops are too short to keep good tension on the battery contacts when riding on rough terrain. If you have 35mm bars, you'll need the Fenix ALB-10 bracket. It is the same bracket used on the older version of the BC30. Fenix recommended taking the rubber out of the included mount, but the metal stud that holds the quick-release will dig into your bars and scratch them.

Nice light
What makes the BC30 bike light ahead of the rest is that it uses easily replaceable rechargeable 18650 batteries. While they recommend you use their 2600 MAH battery, any 18650 3.7v rechargeable battery will do (batteries are extra and do not come with the light). I currently use 5600 MAH batteries that allow me to charge them every third day (I ride every morning). Their helmet mount is extra but necessary if you place it on your helmet like I do.

Very cheap build - low quality
• The fact that it does not come with batteries is one thing, but it does come with a big note in the package that it is really only compatible with one battery, their own ARB-L18-3500 (which is not available to purchase separately). This seems like a deliberate scam - why wouldn't they include the batteries that work in the package? Using normal button-top 18650 batteries quickly resulted in a shutdown with every single bump.• The construction of the light seems cheap. Thin metal with cheap anodized coating. Front lenses are just thin plastic that is easily scratched and cracked.• Beam pattern is not great for riding - needs to be wider.• Included remote did not work.• Mount is junk. Uses thick rubber pieces that slide out easily and overall is extremely wiggly on standard size bars even cracked down as tight as it would get. Locking mechanism complicated and sometimes doesn't lock reliably.

Brighter but not better than old version.
Works really well. I miss the wired version that could flash oncoming traffic even when it on.

Superior Light Quality!!!
I've been using an 800 Lumen light and let me tell you the difference is "Night and Day" with this Fenix light. I used it for the first time the morning (left at 04:30 so it was dark and I couldn't have been happier. Also, and this is IMPORTANT... I chose a course with some bumpy road and there was ZERO ISSUES WITH THE LIGHTS GOING OFF. I was concerned about that because of a couple of reviews but I bought the Bottom Top batteries (not the Fenix ones just being honest) and using my road bike there was NEVER an issue with the lights going off or anything like that. I wish that the mount was a bit easier because you have to light the light up with the mount just right to swap lights (I ride early mornings some days 3-4 hours in the dark so I bought two of them), and for me the mount could be a little easier to line up.

Great light for an urban commuter
Light was easy to mount and aim. Stays in place even after getting banged around on commuter train racks. Battery life is excellent for my use. I use either the highest or just below each night during winter. If just using it for fall/spring commutes I can get months of use out if it. I did use high quality batteries with maximum capacity. Like all of my Fenix lights the balance of performance to cost is great. The build quality is also top notch without screaming steal me if left on my bike.

Great offroad biking light. High Quality
I tried several lights for my mountain bike and this one was one of the best. We ride fast downhill at night and really need good lights. This has a bright wide beam and makes night riding fun.

Amazing light
I ordered this instead of getting a lighting stator, and a light for my dirtbike. It works great out in the trails with the dirtbike and I can use it for my mountain bike as well. I would love for this to be rechargeable but I think they make another version that is already. I always carry 2 sets of batteries so it is never a problem. I have a set of 1500mah and they last me about 1:30 hrs on full brightness. But the second and third mode is plenty and I can get 2 hours out of them no problem. I would expect with the recommended batteries (2200 mah) to push the full 2 hours at the brightest setting.
