We made a dish I ate as a kid.

This is the classic what-you-knew-growing-up-asian dried fish to eat with rice. It is salted, though there is no list of ingredients...!! How does it not have a list of ingredients..?! Can that be requested? I just want to know if there's weird preservatives, or if it is just pure fish and salt.

I have bought this dried anchovy at a grocery store. Their product was very salty and I had to discard it. This product had very little salt and very fine size anchovies. I love it.

I ate it the first time and got sick, but was not sure if it was actually the anchovy that made me sick. Then I made another batch way later and the both of us ate it and we both got sick. It was overlly fishy smelling but did taste great.

It was the perfect size to make a candied anchovy. The flavor was good and the quality was great!

I hope it was just this packet. Baby shrimps are mixed in making the texture very different. I had to hand pick baby shrimps out as many as I could since this was for my kids. Photo is just a small portion I picked out I was getting tired. Otherwise anchovies itself was great size and tasty.
