I actually WANTED to write this review as both my guests and I are thrilled with this replacement mattress! I have a couch that is functionally and aesthetically fine but is 29 years old! The original spring mattress was okay for its time, but over the 29 years had lost its "spring" and padding which led to feeling the cross bars more so in the couch and pretty much unable to use the sleeper pull out. We did not use this pull out for years and then with a lot of company coming, we figured we ought to try the pull out....it was NOT until recently when we thought about using this pull out again if we could find a replacement mattress for it...and with research, we came across this one! It is well described in the write up and I measured the thickness of our old spring mattress and ordered the 4 inch thick, queen size pull out replacement mattress....I was concerned that maybe it would not fold back in....but it DOES fit perfectly and actually gives the couch a more firm seating as well. The ONLY thing, and it is not major at all, is that it is harder to pull out as the mattress is heavier than the orginal...but we have two people pull it out to make it easier....one person can do it, but we just have two of us pull it out to just be easier.Our guests said they did NOT feel the bars and we also tested it out and it is a very comfortable mattress and really you don't feel the cross bars. I did order the foldable back board, but truly, you don't need it.....it might give a bit more support for a firmer feel, but you don't need it with this mattress unless you want to make double sure no one feels the bars or you want a firmer mattress feel!We could NOT be more thrilled with this purchase...we now can use our 29 year old couch which hasn't been slept on in over 10 years.....with this new mattress, it gives us a lot of opportunity to have multiple guests visit and stay!

I ordered this mattress to put on a sofa sleeper in my remote office, that I would occasionally be needing to spend the night inI've slept on this mattress several times, you do not feel the bar, and it is very comfortable, especially considering it's a sofa sleeper!Definitely the most comfortable sofa sleeper I've ever slept on and I am 51 years old with plenty of aches and painsDon't get me wrong it's still a sofs sleeper mattress, and it's still has to be thin, so do not try to compare this to your super fluffy Sealy Posturepedic, Serta Perfect Sleeper, Dreamcloud, Stearns and Foster, it Tempurpedic with the 4-in European pillow top. If you do, however, compare it to a typical sofa sleeper mattress you will not be disappointed!It is more comfortable than your average regular mattress though, and way more comfortable than any sofa sleeper mattress I've ever slept on

I laid it on top of my old sofa bed mattress. By itself, without an old mattress below it, you would need slats. It is very comfortable. I haven't tried to fold up the sofa bed with the two mattresses but I don't need to right now. I bought a 2" memory foam mattress once and it pulled in on the sides. I had to keep pulling it out again. I think the difference is that the sofa bed memory foam mattress is 4". This one does not pull in on the sides even though I sit on it for a few hours each day and then lie on it to sleep. The delivery was goofy though. It was listed as delivered on 7/31 but I did not receive it. It was delivered on 8/1 but it is still listed as being delivered on 7/31. Weird. Also the photos, which is proof of delivery never showed the package but showed a package for another item I had ordered. Weird.

Bought to replace original sleeper sofa mattress, that I hadn’t realized was so bad! When I got Covid last summer, I isolated from my family in the basement, but my whole body was so sore and I could not get comfortable. Not sure soreness was from the mattress or from having Covid, but I had never slept on it before and didn’t realize that it was lumpy and had a huge divot in the middle. It’s where my dad always sleeps when he stays over, but he’d never mentioned that the mattress was awful! I tried folding the comforter in creative ways to fill the hole, and laid there and scrolled Amazon for this one. I recovered before it arrived, so I was back to my nice Tempurpedic in the bedroom, but now I’m confident that when my dad or anyone else stays over, that they can actually get a decent night’s sleep. My dad did say that it was a “110% improvement” when he was here for Christmas. It still folds up nicely when we need the bed folded up and out of the way, and doesn’t have any marks or creases from having been folded up when it’s unfolded again. And next time I get Covid, I’ll be ready.

Mattress fully inflated in 2 days. No issues. Very comfortable. I am using it full time in my Winter trailer. We needed a second bed so we could sleep comfortable separate. It works as expected. Wife is happy.

I ordered this item for our guest room cabinet bed several months ago. Unfortunately I didn’t open the box until recently when we had a guest coming. It is definitely not 4” deep - more like 2”. When placed on the bed it was completely useless. She is a 140 lb person and this “mattress” collapsed to virtually nothing when she laid down on it.

I want a sofa bed and I thought that is what I was ordering on sale and not just the mattress so I returned it

Arrive on time and was great for the hide abed. True to description no order or flaws with the mattress. I would recommend. I really like the bed in a box. As we purchase new mattress every 5 to 6 years and have purchased expensive mattress and I have found Bed in box mattresses are of great quality and durability. if you are thinking about it, give it a go trust me you have noting to loose. As for sending a mattress back its not a lot of trouble just contact the seller and get informed. Plus UPS will do home pick-ups too.
