Beautifully made and painted instruments. I love the way they look and sound. Thanks for bringing my childhood memories back to me: finally found an well crafted set.

1. How Does It Look?I really love the artwork on this maraca. It is really beautiful and since it is handmade, the artwork will be slightly different on each maraca that is bought from World Percussion USA. However, as with all handmade instruments, there is a bit of imperfections here and there although nothing to complain too much about since everything on the maraca is intact. "0.75 STARS!"2. How Does It Sound?This is my first maraca, but to me its sounds great and isn't too bright sounding, but has a good balance of treble and bass. "1.00 STARS!"3. How Easy Is It To Use?It is a fairly easy instrument to learn. It doesn't take too long to get some nice rhythms down. I can see how pairing this maraca with another maraca would be a lot of fun. :] "1.00 STARS!"4. How Does It Feel?Because it has somewhat of a rough paint job and artwork design, you will notice little rough spots on the handle and gourd that should be smoothed out, but it's nothing that will give you a splinter or anything. Overall it feels solidly built and you don't have to be super gentle with it as you can get quite aggressive with the movements as long as you have a bit of common sense. "0.75 STARS!"5. Is It Worth The Price?Yes! Their are plenty of great maracas around this price, but if you're looking for a handmade one with unique artwork then I would check this maraca out! "1.00 STARS!"6. Should You Buy This?I think so! This is a beautiful looking maraca despite its minor artwork flaws. It sounds so soothing and has a great balance of treble and bass.7. Sound low and not too loud

I give these 5 stars in beauty! However maracas we’re shipped in a paper envelope and one of the maracas handles was totally off the top. Fortunately the seeds were still in the coconut so I glued them together.

This item was nicely made with good craftsmanship. It's nice to find handmade items. It had a nice sound, and blended in nicely at our drum circle.

These have a nice sound. They are beautifully hand painted. My set had a handle come loose but with a little glue they will be fine. Nice for worship and any band.

My two shakers were wrapped in thin brown paper, then shipped in a flimsy plastic bag. One had the handle broken off. When I opened the bag, little stones went crashing out all over my kitchen floor. I tried putting them into the shaker, but the handle was broken and wouldn't stay on.These are very large shakers. Way too big for a kid's hand.I sent mine back. I tried using one, but it was way too large for my hand.I ended up having to pay $8 to UPS them back out of my own pocket. Don't waste your money on these.

These are amazing high quality Maracas. I am very pleased with the sound and the quality. I would defiantly recommend.
