The golden ones pack came with a hole on the bottom of its package, which must have gotten ripped during the transportation. The golden and red ones cook more quickly. The black ones take longer. But I like them all. You can see a mashed golden lentils dish in the pics - from the bag to the plate. I eat them with sour cream and sprinkled paprika. Enjoy!

These were used to make a vegetarian food item for a church rest station at a fundraiser relay race. It was a very popular item and we ran out well before the event was over..
