Comfortable, huge improvement over past futon mattresses
When it arrived, I doubted the size measurements. But it puffed up to the estimated size well after a day. It is very functional as it's used 5-6 days a week as a couch (now for over a year) and has worked great as a guest bed. It looks and feels well made as well.

Great futon mattress. Worth the money.
Mattress arrived in good condition. Was easy to unwrap and allowed to fulling expand. Mattress is very comfortable and fits my futon perfectly. The fabric and color are awesome. Exceeded my expectations.

Attractive & Comfortable
The mattress that came with my futon felt like it was stuffed with rags. It was hard as a rock. The Kodiak Mattress is fairly comfortable, firm, not squishy. Its memory foam and inner spring construction are good for sitting and sleeping. The cover is attractive and feels durable. There's no foam or upholstery smell. It is a perfect fit for the old mattress. Amazon has many cheaper alternatives. This mattress is Made in U.S.A.My only issue with it is it is a bear to wrestle into place. I started out using it to sleep on. Then I tried to fold it into a sofa shape for sitting. It supposedly has a hinge feature to make this easy. It is not. There's a label on the bottom indicating the correct position to use it. The mattress weighs 60 pounds. The cover fits tightly so it's hard to get a good grip and pull it into place. I needed to remove it from the futon frame, fold the frame up, then while standing in front of the futon, grab the top edge of the mattress and pull it toward me while pushing it into place with my knees. This is really a job for two people. Bottom line is if you'll only change its configuration occasionally and have two people to adjust it, you'll be OK.

Very Satisfied and So Far The Spring Option Was a Good Choice
I am very pleased with the quality.I have never had a futon with springs OR memory foam. Always the compressed cotton. Bought my last one 10 years ago so it was time. Use mostly as a couch. So far I am liking the resilience of the springs: more support. Also feels very comfortable to sleep on without a mattress topper. The color in the photo is a brighter "aqua". The actual is more muted but that worked perfectly with our decor, since it is more upholstery-like. Finally it is not reversible. You can't flip the futon and use the other side unless perhaps you have a slip cover (zippered) , which I do from my last mattress, so I may try that. All in all, very satisfied with my purchase!

Comfortable
This was a replacement for my old futon mattress. This mattress has good thickness and comfortable to both sit and sleep on. Color is very nice also.

Quality mattress/futon
I like the firmness it’s not too firm not too soft. It is very beautiful in appearance. I love the bears and the deer and the wildlife print on it. It’s very country cabin chic. It’s heavy and a little hard to bend into shape of the sofa but once it’s done, it looks splendid and beautiful, and I’m very happy with it. The mattress that came with the futon was so lightweight and thin so I checked this one out and it’s exactly what I was looking for the material is high-quality very satisfied with my purchase A+ seller

Sturdy, Firm, Color Disappointing UPDATE 02/06/23
UPDATE: I was very upset to discover that the fabric has already developed a hole after only a few months use! (Attaching photo.) I live alone, no rambunctious small children, and my rescue cat was declawed when I adopted her, so there has been nothing to cause this problem. I was forced to darn the hole using a curved upholstery needle, and now will need to disguise it with a brown button similar to those on the mattress. I can't begin to say how disappointed and upset I am.Positives: This futon mattress fits my wooden frame perfectly (I don't know if it is a Kodiak frame, but it is similar to the frame pictured in the product photo). It does not slide forward, which has been a problem with my previous futon mattresses. Since I prefer firm mattresses and furniture, I find it very comfortable. The back is tall, making it easy to rest my head, as I tend to sprawl rather than sit. The fabric texture is excellent--not a slippery surface, but a thick weave. Negatives: When purchasing an item in which color will be important, I check that color on three screens: my laptop, my phone, and my Kindle Fire. On all three, the color pictured was much lighter than the mattress actually is. On the screens, it has a slight ivory overtone. In reality, it is greige--grey beige--and rather dark. I can live with it, but will almost certainly be putting a futon cover on it eventually. The color is the reason I am not giving the mattress five stars, although the overall quality is excellent.

Fits our purpose for guest seating
This futon mattress was purchased mainly for extra seating when we have out of town visitors. It is sturdy and is very comfortable to sit on. I've actually been using it instead of my usual chair/ottoman! I like the inner springs that give it much more support than the foam mattresses we have had before. And, the hinged springs make it instantly fit to the futon frame in the seating position, no sliding and it trying to form into the bed position like the foam mattresses. No need for pads to keep it in place. We've only had it a couple of weeks and haven't used it for sleep yet. I covered it immediately with an old quilt to protect the fabric. The fabric was a good quality as well with no observed defects. All in all, it fits our purpose perfectly.
