Q: Does this solar charger work with the Ring Corner Kit (that allows you to angle the camera to point in the right direction)?

Yes I have mine fitted on wedges, however save your money as it needs 8 hours of direct sunlight and only trickle charges. Mine doesn’t not seem to do anything.

Q: do you have to charge the battery to full charge 1st from mains, so we presume this is just a trickle charge

Trickle charge. Be carefull buying this ring model. It's an older version and has a solar charger but the App you need is not supported on mobile phones any longer. Best try and download the Ring app on your phone first before buying
