Fun and relatively simple
It’s a cute set that comes with (almost) everything you need - scissors are an obvious need, but I didn’t realize glue was also needed, so I’m glad I happened to have some on hand. The written instructions are pretty simple to follow, aside from two steps that had mis-numbered cords (easy enough to deduce if you stop to think about them, but still frustrating). My biggest complaint - and why it doesn’t get five stars - is because there are no written instructions for the beaded section inside the moon, and you just have to go off a video link they include in the instructions. They work on a white table, making it hard to see the details of the light colored cord/string, her hands get in the way of seeing exactly what she’s doing, and there are no verbal or written instructions to clarify anything. I did my best to follow but it turned out looking…not great (as you can see in my picture). No instruction as to how much string to use (they give you WAY more than you need - nice to have extra, but a huge pain if you don’t cut it beforehand and get it all tangled as you work), sometimes you see her put on the bead, but sometimes not, and at a crucial part it just cuts from one section to her finishing the next, and no matter how much I slowed it down or replayed it, I couldn’t figure it out. It’s still a good beginner set, and I had fun making it (aside from the frustration with the beaded section).

Absolutely terrible kit.
I've been crafting for about 27 years and this is by far the worst kit/pattern/instructions I have ever seen. I would not recommend this to anyone, unless you just want a packet of supplies that you're going to use without actually following any type of guide.Pros: - Contains materials.Cons:- The main pattern is provided in a video. This video is mentioned in the actual kit instructions, but there's no link or even a hint at where this video is available.- The video is provided in the "Related Videos" section of the Amazon listing. After much digging, I finally found it. It's not the video provided with the actual listing and photos, it's toward the bottom with other videos that are simply related to this kit. At least a video on YouTube would've been better placement (with a link in the instructions).- The video itself is terrible. There's only music, there's no vocal instruction or explanation, majority of the work is done too quickly to get a good idea of what's happening.- The written instructions... I'm not sure where to begin with how terrible these are. First of all, the measurements and the details are wrong. If you're doing this (I'm sorry you're going through this) you'll notice the very first measurement for cutting the rope and wrapping the frame state 100 inches. This is incorrect, even as tight as possible, this is too short. The basic math in the instructions are incorrect. For example, there's a part of the pattern that instructs you to move cables 1 through 10 aside and to do the same with rows *16 through 30* and to work with only the the 10 remaining cords. I'm bad at math, but not that bad.The instructions and photos for the actual knots are terrible. The images are too small and the written instructions are confusing. You're better off Googling the knots and learning from other tutorials. There are absolutely no instructions for actually decorating the frame with the thread and beads - it literally says "weave the desired pattern". What?- The materials: The cord itself is not that bad, the quality is fairly good and the cable is soft and easy to work with. However, this is packaged in such a way that the entire length of cord was just flopped in the box and was completely tangled - I spent more time untangling the cord than anything else. The little moon charm is cute, from a distance. It's basically just wire cut into a shape and folded in half - badly. The two sides are not aligned well at all and a little ring is squashed between the two.You are provided with a needle, but the craft requires glue - which is not included.I could go on and on about this. I decided to just go my own way and make it my own and learn other knots and designs, because I'm absolutely not going to be able to do what they've got written out. Again, I've never seen anything this bad.I wouldn't recommend this to any adults that are learning and I certainly would not recommend this for children.Stay away.

Difficult to complete
Instructions are mostly on video, and are difficult to follow. Not recommended for beginners

Great kit, maybe not for macrame beginners.
This turned out pretty good. Everything we needed was included in the kit (with the exception of scissors and glue). There was a learning curve. The video+instructions weren't very clear and we were new to macrame knots. There was a lot of trial and error.Did this with a 10 year old, and it took us about 6 hours. (Fyi, she used organic food coloring to dye the moon pink, it was not included in the kit.) We also had to trim the bottom considerably as the lengths ended up very different. We were very pleased with the outcome.

Dream catcher
Was smaller than I thought and the video they say to watch so you can do part of it is no longer available. A little disappointing.

Material and instructions are user friendly
I liked how beautiful the wall hanging appears. I used it as a gift for a talented crafter to expand her use of her hands.

Easy to do
Would have been better if it included small glue for attaching cords
