JCL Vise Jaws - Nylon, Multipurpose 4" - Use on any Metal Vise, Magnetic Reversible Pads, Clamp Flat or Round Products

These are nice and stick to my vice better than my last pair. My last pair had the magnets out of phase and they jumped off when you closed the vice jaws. I put up with those for far too long.Thse are nice and there is a cut out for holding round barstock or a bolt or a rod. They stay where I put them and they dont scratch things up when I work on bicycle parts.I recommend these...a good value and they work like they should.

I have a small vice. The jaws are only about 4 1/2 inches wide. These jaws fit perfectly on that for small delicate work. I took the time to measure my jaws before I ordered this product. I knew what I was getting. They have a little striations in them if you have to hold things at an angle. Very good product. The magnets are very strong.

Well made and worth the money. They aren't quite as wide as my 4-1/2 inch vise but I couldn't find any exactly that size anyway. They do the job and give every indication of outlasting the vise.

Basically I like these inserts. They are sturdy, non marring, and magnets hold well and have yet to detach from the pads. They work well in my 4" bench vise but are too shallow to use in my drill press vise where they will wobble and tilt out. It is in the drill press vise that I most wanted to use them.

Practical, value for money really usable.

These are the perfect size for your vise, great magnetic strength, very durable, great grip, and a great value. Not stiff, and not soft making it the perfect piece for your delicate pieces that you need to put into the vise. It is very versatile. Pretty durable will definitely last a long time.

I'm giving a middle of the road review, but I am keeping these, and expect them to be useful for light and delicate work. But let's start which the arrival. They're much lighter than I expected. When I took the envelope out of my mailbox, I wonder if I'd gotten the wrong item. As other reviews have mentioned, the magnets are strong enough to keep them from falling off the vice, but not much more. Any accidental bump is going to knock them out of position. My biggest issue is the the back is smooth and has no "grip" to keep it in place when clamping. My first try using it was to clamp an item with a metal rod projecting from the bottom. But when I did, the weight of the item simple twisted the rod, and the plastic jaws, out of the vice. No amount of tigntening fixed this. They're just slippery, and when torqued, they slide around, often completely out of the vice. For light duty or delicate work, these will likely still be useful. But for heavier work and items that will have weight or pressure applied to the work, expect sliding and other problems.
