Best hose washer available
I don't review many products, but this one is very good. Background: My father was a gasket maker and ran an industrial gasket company. So, I knew gaskets from very early on.These folks have die-cut these hose washers from a high quality gasket sheet. This is how this type of seal should be made. Other options are usually molded out of poor plastic that tends to "cold flow". Others use red rubber which is invariably low quality (unless it is silicone). Others have used o-rings which are wonderful for many applications but a poor choice for a hose washer.Bottom line, these are the best hose washer I have purchased. A tiny amount of food-grade silicone grease on the washer, and you have a very reliable and long-lasting seal. Highly recommended product.

VERY GOOD PRODUCT!
I ordered both the black and the red washers. I've yet to try the red ones, but just tried a black one and I am thrilled with my purchase! It is just a tad tough to insert the washer (I pushed it in with the butt end of a pliers handle) because of the threads in the female hose end, but that is precisely what will keep it from falling out and getting lost. I don't know how many times I have dragged a hose across the yard only to find out the washer has fallen out somewhere along the way. (I don't recall hose washers of old doing that.) I finally got tired of making trips back to my shed to get another inferior washer and decided to look online. I am so glad I found these well made washers that WORK! They definitely reflect the pride of "MADE IN AMERICA"! Every hardware store and builder's warehouse should stock them and do away with the cheap plastic ones. I don't mind spending more money for a GOOD PRODUCT! I will spread the word every chance I get!

Never a leak...ever...ever
These days it seems every hose fitting leaks, even on the expensive hoses and garden faucets. These guys figured out why and did something about it. I have a four tier deck with plants on every level. I've run PVC and hoses to all levels from a 4 gang hose connector (an expensive, well made one, except it leaked where it connected to the faucet. Long story short, I put these now on every new garden hose or gadget that has a washer. NO LEAKS ANYWHERE...EVER. I just bought two more packages. This product deserves 10 stars!

Best washers ever--no more leaks!
I have an intricate system of soaker hoses and drip lines that run all over my yard and are all attached to different timers. I go through a lot of washers, and for some connections I just can't get it to stop leaking even with a new washer--I'll keep trying to tighten it but then it gets overtight, crushing the edges of the washer and making things worse. This year I tried these out, and they are much better than what comes from the big box stores. They are thick and tough and do not crush, and they seal well. For the first year ever I have no leaks anywhere! I ended up buying two more bags of these to replace any and all of my washers.

but I sure as heck don't neck this crap. Please stop sending them
Here's a review. I ordered rubber hose washers. Since then, I have been receiving constant emails with sexual double entendres and innuendo. I'm not a prude, but I sure as heck don't need this crap. Please stop sending them. All I wanted was rubber washers for my hoses. Ugh. Not cute at all, Dudes. I'm sure the rubber hose washers are just great. Next time, I'll just go to Home Depot.

No leaks yet. Read for my perhaps helpful tip
I’ll update durability after some time but I fixed all my leaks in the following way. My wife had some olive oils spray she didn’t want anymore. I sprayed a little onto these after inserting into the hose. I did this so the gasket wouldn’t be damaged when tightening. I’m not sure if it is necessary but I don’t think it can hurt. Mark as helpful if you think it helps ;) I used these washers in 5 places with no leaks so far. This was not the case with some rubber washers that came free with a nozzle.

Decent Quality, puts up with a lot of abuse!
These are designed for a hose. It even says so in the title. I was using them for a vacuum hose for a harvest right freeze dryer, an older model (before they improved the hose design). Let me just say that I am impressed. All other washers lasted maybe a single cycle...and never a full cycle since i couldn't get a seal to hold at all. These never ripped apart or failed, and I got the best seal possible. It was later discovered that the problem was the pump, however these never failed despite being over-tightened and definitely placed into a service far beyond what they would need to endure. I still have some, having the system replaced and not longer needing these, but I do have hoses that I will use them on when the cheap washer inside inevitably fails.

No retainer so they fall out regularly. Not worth it for this reason.
A nice idea (US made, in a high quality rubber) but they have no retainer tabs, nor are they oversized in O.D. to fit snug, so if you frequently change nozzles on your hoses, or even just remove them once in a while, this gasket can (and will) fall right out of the device.I'd rather have a cheaper gasket that has retainer tabs: even though it might leak after one year of use, at least it's in there. Still better than no gasket at all, which is what I keep finding myself with with this brand of gasket.
