This bed is perfect size with sides raised just enough for her to think she has a pillow for head when wanted. We rehomed a 6 yr old very insecure Pyrenees Mix 94 lb dog. She only felt secure and cool enough in the hole dug at our back fence corner untilWe Purchased and gave her this bed. She loves coming in and laying on it day or night now! A smaller Version worked for our previous full bred Pyrenees that had developed arthritis and cancer that helped her. Easy to care for and remove cover for washing when needed

Got this bed in the extra large. The dog in the picture is lab-mastiff mix, he weighs 140 lbs and is large enough to pet without bending down at all. I actually got this bed for my Great Pyrenees, she is getting older and I thought a cooling gel top bed might convince her to give a dog bed a try, but so far no luck. The mastiff-lab loves it, and so do the cats. My teenage daughter also curled up on it. You can tell the mattress is high quality from the fact my massive dog is barely compressing it. You can feel the gel top too, like most it only stays cool so long but it is nice. The bolster is separate from the mattress and cover, which is nice. There is a thin waterproof layer over the mattress too. The cover is meh. My dog doesn't seem to mind it but it feels like cheap polyester to me, like cheap sheets. The light grey also shows dirt easily, I would have looked for a different color if I had thought about it. The zippers aren't bad, but anytime you deal with giant breed dog beds removing covers and washing is more of a pain. Currently listed at $167.99, which I think is reasonable for this quality of dog mattress with bolster.

So far so good, It expanded to a nice thickness and the size is good for my very large dog. My dog does not usually prefer dog beds cause they make him hot. The cooling foam in this bed seems to be of good quality as it feels very cool when your on it. The foam density seems pretty good, my dog just had an amputation and having a soft supportive surface to lay on that is comfy and not hot was very important and this bed seems to be doing the trick. He has used it a lot more than I expected and it doesn't make him hot. I can't speak to the durability because we just got it, but so far it came out of the package looking nice, staying cool and a very good density for what I needed to support my heavy large dog and hopefully avoid him from being in pain.

It's exactly what you'd expect in a quality dog bed. Very good cushion and support for a big dogs body.

I rarely right reviews, but I had to for this bed. I’ve been searching for something large enough, supportive enough, and comfy enough for my senior Labrador for a while. He has bad hips and sleeps most of the day.I’ve ordered quite a few beds and this is the only one that is truly thick, supportive, and doesn’t sink down when he lays on it. Since we got this bed, he doesn’t wake up limping because his hips are sore anymore. He spends most of his day on this bed and is even on it snoring as I write this.I can’t say enough good things!A plus is that my other dog (German Shepherd) loves it too! She normally hates beds and just sleeps on the ground.Buy this bed. You won’t regret it.
