Its a hammer. It hasnt thrown the head off or even shown signs of doing so. Been usimg the hell out of it for rusty automotive. Works nice when you have limited swing.

It's a BFH, and a Good One at That
Great hammer for many uses. Excellent for removing stubborn rusted car parts to shock rust loose or when used with pickle forks or chisels. After many smacks the faces still look good.Also good to bring if setting up tents/guy lines and getting heavy stakes into tough ground. Much too heavy to take backpacking, but would be good for car/van camping.
